Rihanna & A$AP Rocky Quietly Welcomed A Baby Boy On Friday The 13th!

Singer Rihanna is officially a new mom!

On Thursday afternoon, TMZ reported that she and rapper A$AP Rocky officially had their first child together. Here’s everything we know right now!

Apparently, the couple gave birth last week in Los Angeles – on Friday, May 13, to be exact, so they’ve been able to keep this out of the news for at least a week. However, the name of their new bundle of joy has not yet been disclosed.

The “Umbrella” singer didn’t reveal that she was pregnant until January with a photoshoot in New York City to mark the occasion. Riri has been putting her baby bump on display throughout most of her pregnancy.

In an interview with PEOPLE shortly after she announced her pregnancy to the world, the “We Found Love” singer said it was both “fun” and a “challenge” to find clothes to compliment her growing baby bump.

“I’m enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy,” she added. “If I feel a little chubby, it’s like, whatever! It’s a baby!”

As The Blast previously reported, fans were absolutely shocked to see A$AP Rocky – real name Rakin Mayers – arrested when his private plane touched down at LAX last month. The two were returning from a flight in Barbados when the LAPD and Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations team led Mayers off in cuffs.

According to NBC News, Mayers’ attorney, Alan Jackson, confirmed that Mayers had been released on a $550,000 dollar bond. According to the LAPD, Mayers was the primary suspect in a shooting that took place on November 6, 2021, near Vista Del Mar and Salma Avenue around 10:20 PM on the night in question. He has been accused of firing shots at an acquaintance, with one of the bullets grazing his hand.

TMZ reported that Rihanna was “totally blindsided” by his arrest and was not allowed to retrieve items from his home while police were conducting a search of the home. The LAPD stated that they removed several items of interest from the home, but it’s not clear at this time if they found the gun that they believe might have been used in connection with the shooting.

However, Riri isn't letting his recent arrest distract her from her becoming an amazing mom!

In early March, Rihanna spoke with Elle Magazine to discuss what kind of mom she wants to be. She revealed that the best advice she has received from friends and family so far is “to sleep now because I won't get much later. I need to work on that before it's a thing of the past.”

Now that she's going to be a new mom, she praised “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Heather Dubrow and Teresa Giudice of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” for being inspirational role models for her to follow.

“Heather Dubrow is so chic while being a mom,” she revealed. “Just love the way that she just allows her kids to be who they are. And that's really inspiring to me. But Teresa [Giudice] from Jersey does not play about her kids.”

She also stated that she admired Giudice's passion for motherhood, saying, “that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that's the type of mom I'm going to be. Psycho about it.” When it was joked that Riri might “flip a table” if she got mad, “The Monster” singer replied, “Worse. You talk about my kids, it’s over.”
