Nick Jonas Reveals Celebrating Priyanka Chopra's First Mother's Day After Birth Of Their Child

After Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra tied the nuptial knot in 2018, the pair welcomed their first child, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, in January via surrogate. They also shared that they recently brought her home following her extended 100-day stint in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, NICU.

Now, Jonas reveals his experience as a father since he hit the milestone. He also opened up to "The Tonight Show" hosts about how he and Chopra celebrated her first mother's Day.

The former star of "Camp Rock" disclosed that he gifted Chopra a citrus tree for her first Mother's Day. He also added he was going to plant it in the following week. While he had no idea of how to plant it, he would get some help from YouTube.

When he was asked about the significance of the gift, he disclosed, "Just new life, new things growing – and the beauty of citrus trees." The couple also shared their baby pictures on Instagram for Mother's Day. The picture featured Chopra holding their baby to her chest while Jonas stared lovingly at them. The baby dons a pink outfit and completes her fit with a headband bow.

"On this Mother's Day we can't help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we've been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced," the pair wrote.

They continued, "Every family's journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is. We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children's La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way."

Jonas shared a similar statement on his page, adding, "Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible mothers and caretakers out there, but I want to take a minute to say a special Mother's Day wish to my incredible wife @priyankachopra on her first Mother's Day."

He concluded, "Babe, you inspire me and every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness. I am so grateful to be on this journey with you. You are already an incredible mother. Happy Mother's Day. I love you."

During an appearance on "The Today Show," Jonas opened up about his baby girl and his experience as a father.

"You have your heart at home, you have a new baby just home from the NICU after a 100 days. Just tell us what life is like now," the host asked.

"Life is beautiful," Jonas said. "She's a gift, and we're just so blessed that she's back home." 

He also noted that none of his brothers have a son as they all share baby girls. While Joe Jonas recently welcomed daughter Willa with his wife Sophie Turner, Kevin Jonas also shares two daughters, Alena and Valentina, with his wife, Danielle.

"Jonas family keeps growing, a lot of girls," Jonas added. "No boys. My parents are thrilled. Grandparents of now four beautiful granddaughters."

He also shared receiving parenting advice from everyone, adding that everyone now posed as a "newborn care specialist."

"All these PhDs I didn't know they had," he added jocularly.

He mentioned that his brothers are amazing uncles, disclosing that the youngest of the clan, Frankie, is the "favorite uncle so far."

"Well, he's the closest in age to the kids," Jonas shared of his 21-year-old brother.

According to an insider, the couple were very eager to become parents and were thrilled when they became one.

"Nick and Priyanka have wanted a baby for some time. This is a happy time for all. Nick and Priyanka are definitely ready for this new challenge in their lives. It is something they have both wanted," the source reported, per People. "Now is their time, and they could not be more ready to raise a child."

When the couple got married in 2018, it was amidst pomp and fanfare. They had both a traditional Hindu reception and a western ceremony.

Recently, the pair celebrated their third anniversary with a dinner adorned with several roses, candles, and letters that spelled "Forever."

Living the dream," Chopra shared an image of a romantic dinner setup, including a card that had "Found you, married you, keeping you" inscribed.

On the other hand, Jonas captioned his post, "3 years."
