Teyana Taylor Crowned Champion Of 'The Masked Singer' Season 7

On Wednesday night, Teyana Taylor was unmasked as the multi-talent behind the Firefly on season 7 of "The Masked Singer."

After competing in the finale against the Frog Prince and the Ringmaster, Taylor was announced as the winner of season 7 after performing both Usher and Robin Thicke.

For her first performance, Firefly had the judges dancing when she sang "Bad Girl" by Usher. After her performance, Robin guessed Teyana Taylor. Nicole guessed Monica. Ken said, "I actually think Firefly is Brandy."

After her performance, Frog Prince was unmasked to reveal Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson, which left both Ringmaster and Firefly competing for first place.

For her final performance, Firefly sang "Lost Without U" by none other than judge Robin Thicke. Robin said he was "flattered and choked up." Ken thanked her for "saving the best for last." After contestants had voted, Firefly was chosen as the winner of season 7.

The Ringmaster was unmasked first, as the runner-up of season 7. None of the judges were able to guess that it was really Hayley Orrantia, star of the ABC series "The Goldbergs" underneath the mask.

When it came to unmasking Firefly, Robin doubled down on Teyana Taylor. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg agreed with Robin's guess. Nicole Scherzinger stuck with Monica. Ken Jeong went with a guess of Alicia Keys, which Jenny called "actually coherent."

Firefly was unmasked to reveal Teyana Taylor as the winner of "The Masked Singer" season 7, proving Robin and Jenny's guesses correct. When host Nick Cannon asked why Teyana decided to compete on the show, she told the panel, “Aw, man, I was like, this would be something really nice to do, and just be able to just sing, and it’d be fun again, and there’s just no judgment, you know?”

“Nobody knows who’s behind the mask,” she added. “You just get to sing your heart out.”

Coincidentally, Nick was quick to point out that her husband, Iman Shumpert, who she married in 2016, just won “Dancing with the Stars” and now she won “The Masked Singer.”

“You got all types of trophies at the crib,” Nick joked.

She said “Lost With U” was a “dear song” to her and that she “cried” during the whole song. Robin told her that she did a great job, which Ken Jeong seconded.

Fans loved watching Teyana Taylor compete and win the competition, especially after En Vogue was eliminated just before the finale.

Taylor's win brought season 7 of "The Masked Singer" to a close. Fortunately, the Fox musical guessing game show has been renewed for its 8th season, so fans will still get to see plenty of costumed celebrities sing their hearts out on stage!
