Katy Perry's decision to be a mother did not come from her nurturing instincts but her Prince Charming, Orlando Bloom!

The iconic Pop Queen, who shares a daughter Daisy Dove with the SAG award winner, recently opened up about how her fiancé helped her embrace motherhood.

During a recent appearance on Chelsea Handler's podcast series "Dear Chelsea," the 37-year-old Santa Barbara native revealed how Bloom's heartwarming personality changed her life.

When it comes to giving her all on the stage, the "Cry About It Later" singer is no stranger to stealing the audience's hearts with her exceptional performances.

Although the Pop Star enjoys her life as a musician and an occasional actress, the entertainer did not share the same enthusiasm for parenting until a remarkable man entered the picture.

During her interview with Handler, the "American Idol" judge confessed that for a long time, she believed motherhood was not in the cards for her because she always felt disconnected from her maternal side.

The Billboard chart-topper explained that this problem might be due to "some childhood stuff," but she did not elaborate. Instead, the mother-of-one chose to sing her fiancé's praises for changing her perspective on parenting.

The "Roar" artist explained that watching the "Carnival Row" star raise his son Flynn, born from a previous relationship, helped her realize the beauty of being a parent. Perry jokingly said:

"So that definitely, primally influenced me — something inside of me said, 'You, mid-30s. This man is nice. Must breed.'" 

As for how she felt about raising her 20-month-old daughter with the Hollywood heartthrob, the doting mother described the experience as the "best decision" she had ever made.

On the subject of good decisions, the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador felt lucky to have crossed paths with "The Three Musketeers" actor as he brought stability into her life.

The "Smile" singer noted that she had tendencies to be more "heady and prone to depression," but Bloom's jolly nature could always balance her dark moods.

According to the Santa Barbara native having the "Kingdom of Heaven" star around her did wonders for her health because he helped her get out of her head with his "happy, posi vibes."

However, her relationship with the Teen Choice Award winner was not the only thing that changed her perspective on life.

During the interview, the "Firework" songstress stated that living in Kentucky for "almost a month" had opened her eyes to new things. In the 37-year-old entertainer's words:

"[It's an] amazing experience and reminds you Hollywood is not America — and you need to remember that because I think you can understand people better."

Last month, The Blast reported that "The Smurfs" voice actress shared details about a second child during the "American Idol" show's red carpet on Monday, April 18.

The "Last Friday Night" singer welcomed her first child, Daisy, in August 2020 with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor, marking Bloom's second time as a father.

Following the birth of her adorable daughter, the Guinness World Records holder has been sharing the toddler's precious milestones with fans.

During an interview, the "Not the End of the World" artist revealed that Daisy had begun running, using crayons, and saying words like "I love you."

The Pop Star’s little angel could also recognize stars like Mickey Mouse; however, she mistook the famous Disney character for a different animal.

Recalling the hilarious moment, which occurred during the family's trip to Hawaii, Perry explained that the little girl mooed at Mickey, thinking the mouse was a cow.

Daisy's cuteness also brought her parents closer and changed their priorities as a source close to the couple revealed that Bloom had slashed most of his working hours to allow him to be around for the holidays.

Although the loving parents enjoyed raising their child together, that did not imply that the dynamic duo was ready to bake another bun in the oven.

Perry confessed on the "American Idol" red carpet that there was no way she could not perform at her Las Vegas residency with anything in her stomach, especially a human being.
