As you might know, Scott was on the brink of being canceled by the internet following the tragedy that ensued at his Astroworld Festival in November 2021.

On the other hand, Wallen was canceled and banned from several award shows after hurling the N-word in February 2022 during a drunken night out.

However, Diddy paid no mind to their atrocities and gave them a platform at the 2022 BBMAs. It was Scott's first televised performance since Astroworld and Wallen's in a long time.

Per The Blast, in a social media upload last week, the "Coming Home" rapper shared that he personally requested for Scott to perform.

"For the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday, I made a request, I made a demand. I said, ‘My brother Travis Scott has to perform. I’m executive producing, he has to perform,’ and NBC said ‘yes,'" Diddy bragged.

As for why he chose Scott and Wallace, the 52-year-old explained that he wanted to dedicate the 2022 BBMAs to preaching love and forgiveness.

In his words, "I am uncanceling the canceled. There will be no canceling on my watch. Love is about forgiveness… so that was why it was important for me to have Travis Scott perform. It’s going to be a great night."
