Reality star Kourtney Kardashian and drummer Travis Barker are officially, legally married.
Last month, the couple set social media on fire with rumors that they were married when they exchanged vows at a wedding chapel in Las Vegas and were rumored to have been married by an Elvis impersonator. However, they didn’t have any legal documents at the time and later joked that it was a “trial run” for their real wedding.
On Sunday night, TMZ reported that the couple had gotten their papers and they are now truly and officially married.
Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker Tie The Knot In Santa Barbara
Sources told the outlet that they got the paperwork and officially tied the knot in Santa Barbara in the downtown courthouse on Anacapa. In pap shots taken on the courthouse steps, Kourtney’s grandmother and Travis’ father can be seen with them in the photos.
The couple was spotted in the typical bride and groom formal attire. Travis was wearing an all-black tuxedo and Kourtney was seen wearing a white dress that was cut at the knees. They were reported to be surrounded by other witnesses, including bodyguards.
After tying the knot, the two entered a black lowrider convertible that had a sign strapped to the front of the car that read “JUST MARRIED.”
For fans that were hoping for a bigger wedding: don’t worry. Sources told the outlet that although they’re legally married now, they’re going to hold an actual wedding ceremony in Italy in the near future that’s sure to be a star-studded affair.
This Will Be The First Time Kourtney Said 'I Do'
Travis first popped the question at a beachside hotel in Montecito, California, but the two never publicly announced a date for the wedding. This is Kourtney’s first marriage. Although she has three children with ex Scott Disick, the two never tied the knot.
Travis has been married three times. He was married to his first wife, Melissa Kennedy, for nine months. They filed for divorce in 2002. In 2004, he married Shanna Moakler, but the pair filed for divorce in 2006. It wasn’t finalized until 2008.
Fans are hoping that this marriage definitely goes the distance, especially with how comfortable and happy the pair seem with one another. The two have not been shy about showing off their PDA for the cameras.
The matriarch of the family, Kris Jenner, recently sat down with host Ellen DeGeneres in one of the final episodes of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to talk about the new Hulu series, which debuted on April 14. This will be the family’s first reality show since E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” ended last summer.
The upcoming Hulu reality series will focus on the lives of Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner. Kris revealed that there will be no shortage of drama for fans in the upcoming series, starting with the premiere.
“Of course, the minute we start filming, a million things are happening,” she teased. “Kylie's having a baby, Kourtney is dating Travis Barker and gets engaged, Kim gets SNL. I mean, every single day there was either drama or something crazy going on.”
When Ellen joked about the PDA between Kourtney and Travis, Kris joked that the couple making out is “98% of the new show. Is that wrong?”
Kris added that their October engagement made her “so happy.”
Kourtney had previously told Variety that although she will be starring in the new show, her relationship with Travis won’t be a part of the main story.
“I definitely hold my relationship really close. It's so sacred to me and I am very protective of it. I think I've learned a lot of lessons,” Kourtney told the outlet last month. “There is a lot of us on there, and we've had such a good time doing it because we have such a good time when we're together, but I definitely want to protect it as much as I can. But also, this is my life.”
She added that Travis didn’t have a problem with the show “as long as we're happy with it.”
“He obviously has a full-time job and a full career, so it's not his thing, but I think he's happy to, and we have had so much fun while we've been filming certain things that we're doing, so I'll just invite the producers to come along,” she added.
