Many fans also stood by her, as one wrote a rather long comment, wanting the world to normalize a pregnancy loss. The comment read: "Can we normalize sharing pregnancy news in the first trimester? Who cares if hearing about loss makes some people uncomfortable. As women, we shouldn't be pressured to conceal our "condition." I wish I knew how common miscarriage was when I had my first. It would have been nice to know about other women's experiences beforehand. There's no shame in it. If women feel better to share, then it should be encouraged. Not talking about conception or pregnancy struggles isn't healthy for young women or anyone for that matter."

Another fan also seconded this opinion, writing, "I'm thankful you announced. There is a stigma with announcing too early, and then with miscarriage, you have to be quiet. By doing this, you're allowing space for others to heal just like you. The more we speak about it, the more we all know we experience it together. I'm sorry for your loss ❤️"

Sam Asghari also wrote the simplest, sweetest message to Britney, writing, "We will have a miracle soon ❤️"

And yet, in the middle of all this support, some fans found it in their hearts to troll Britney, many feeling the pregnancy was not real at all.

Vicious comments followed.

"You are asking for privacy now? Hilarious. Unfortunately, nothing will be learned by this except she needs some mental health asap which of course won't happen unless money can be made."

"Guys this woman has trolled us. Either she’s mean-spirited or maybe there was a reason for her conservatorship. I mean I cheered for her release and celebrated her freedom but what she just pulled is krazeeeee!"

"I'm sorry … but I‘m confused. 5 days ago, some speculated that she would lose the child. And now it has happened. I know I'm being hated, but I think she needs an honest leading hand."

Meanwhile, one fan called it right.

"It’s disgusting seeing all the spam comments on this post. Instagram needs to do better!"
