Singer Trevor Strnad passed away suddenly at the age of 41.

The band announced his death on the band's Instagram and Facebook social media pages. They did not list a cause of death, although they did provide the number to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at the end of their post announcing his death.

Trevor Strnad: 'It Was His Life To Be Your Show'

In a brief statement posted to their social media accounts, the band wrote, “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Scott Strnad. Beloved son, brother, and Shepard of good times, he was loved by all that met him.”

They called him “a walking encyclopedia of all things music. He was a hugger, a writer, and truly one of the world’s greatest entertainers. His lyrics provided the world with stories and spells and horror and whimsy. It was his life to be your show.”

They also included the phone number of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.

Since that time, his bandmates have been taking to social media to pay tribute to their late bandmate.

The Black Dahlia Murder Band Members Pay Tribute To Late Singer

The Black Dahlia Murder lead guitarist Brandon Ellis took to Instagram to pay his condolences to his late friend and bandmate.

"I can not even begin to process this… In total shock and disbelief," he began. "It has been my greatest honor to spend the last six and a half years in a band with this absolute icon and legend. A brother. A best friend. One of the funniest and most entertaining people to walk the earth."

"The life of the party that is The Black Dahlia Murder, as well as any given room he happens to occupy," he continued. "A lyrical mastermind. A champion of the entire culture of heavy music. Also my biggest supporter. This man changed my life and believed in me more than I do myself."

"I can not believe there will be no more laughs had, songs written together, or stages decimated with Trevor at the helm. I hope he knew how much he was loved the world over," he concluded. "Rest in peace Trevor ?"

He also ended his post by including the number to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

The Black Dahlia Murder drummer Alan Cassidy also paid tribute to the late Trevor Strnad on Twitter. He tweeted, "I love you @TrevorTBDM you were always my biggest [cheerleader]. You were my older brother I never had. I love that you always let everyone know you loved them and cared about them. I’ll miss you forever til we meet again. I hate living without you and knowing you’re not here."

He later followed it up with, "This doesn't feel real and I hate this."

Nighted Throned commented, "So sorry man, I hope you're ok." Cassidy replied, "I'm not but thanks."

Another guitarist, Dylan, commented, "We're all here with you Alan. We're all hurting and none of us have the bond with him that you surely did, but the outpouring of love and appreciation for Trevor coming out has been beautiful to see. Your fans are always here to support you and help in any way we can!"
