Betty White's Homes Are Both Up For Sale
Betty and Allen spent over a decade together in the home with canary yellow shutters before his passing in 1981.
Betty’s property is being sold for $10.57 million by Marlene Okulick of Sotheby's International Realty – Pacific Palisades Brokerage.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the former couple bought the home for its proximity to the studios in Hollywood.
Allen was a TV personality while Betty was an actress.
A spokesperson for the state shared with WSJ that the two-story home includes a sunroom where the actress reportedly enjoyed the view of the yard, which features flower-filled garden beds, old growth trees and a swimming pool.
"Betty White was a California girl through and through," the star's estate told WSJ. "Despite living in New York when she and Allen Ludden were first married, she longed to be 'back home' in Los Angeles where she grew up."
The home is located at 506 N Carmelina Ave.
The Sothesby listing states, “This property with huge parklike grounds, views of the Getty Museum and mountains has been lovingly cared for. Gated and set back from the street on over 3/4 of an acre, the setting is peaceful with flower filled gardens and old growth trees. This is the first time the property is on the market in over 50 years. This is a unique opportunity to build your dream home on a flat lot in a serene country setting. The property is being sold for land value. There will be no interior access of the home. All showings are of the exterior only. Shown by appointment only to financially qualified Buyers.”
