Prior to his adorable daddy-daughter song and dance, Cohen gave a massive thank you to his ‘WWHL’ fans for being his “virtual cheerleaders,” and explained how his newborn daughter got her name.
“Tonight is my first show back since baby Lucy joined my family on April 29th. As I held Lucy in the hospital, just she and I late into the first night, I was so moved by all of your love and support. I see all of your messages and I want you to know your virtual cheerleading of my starting a family on my own has lifted me up when I most needed it,” Cohen gushed. “I didn’t do this on my own. I have to once again thank my incredible surrogate. What a partner and friend she has been to me. She was in the front row of the last show we taped two days before Lucy was born.”
He joked that Lucy was going to be the first ‘WWHL’ Clubhouse baby.

“As for her name, ‘Louis,’ is a big name in my family. Two great-grandfathers and my dad, all named ‘Louis,’ so that’s where I got ‘Lucy.’ I’ve always loved the name ‘Lucy’ by the way. My mom as you know is named ‘Evelyn’ so, that’s where ‘Eve’ comes from. So, Lucy Eve that’s where she is,” the Bravo show host explained.
Hey, Lucy could even be part of the future generations of ‘Real Housewives.’
The Blast previously reported on Cohen’s exciting baby news in late April.
The new father-of-two announced the birth of Lucy on April 29.
As he mentioned, he welcomed his baby girl via surrogate.
He posted a picture of himself holding his little girl and captioned the precious picture, “HERE’S LUCY!!!!! Meet my daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen! She’s 8 pounds 13 oz and was born at 5:13 pm in New York City!!! Her big brother can’t wait to meet her! Thank you to my rock star surrogate (ALL surrogates are rockstars, by the way) and everyone who helped make this miracle happen. I’m so happy.”
