"Jeopardy!" Champion Mattea Roach finally met her match in a digital marketing manager named Danielle on Friday. Although she may have ended her win streak, she still managed to claim the fifth-longest win streak in the game show's history and took home more than $500,000 dollars in winnings.
The 23-year-old tutor from Toronto, Canada, also managed to catch the eye of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who told the world that "we couldn't be prouder" of her historic run.
Justin Trudeau Congratulates Mattea Roach On Her 'Jeopardy!' Run
Clue: The winner of 23 consecutive episodes of @Jeopardy. The youngest “super champion” in the show’s history. And the person who has made us so proud back here at home.
Answer: Who is @MatteaRoach?
Congratulations on your historic run, Mattea! We couldn’t be prouder.

On Saturday, a day after Mattea lost her long win streak, Trudeau took to Twitter to congratulate her on her success.
"Clue: The winner of 23 consecutive episodes of @Jeopardy. The youngest “super champion” in the show’s history. And the person who has made us so proud back here at home," he wrote. "Answer: Who is @MatteaRoach? Congratulations on your historic run, Mattea! We couldn’t be prouder."

She made me proud too, and while I was in line at the grocery store, I overheard a lady in front me telling the clerk she was going to have to miss her bingo game to watch Mattea.

Mattea Roach Isn't Done On 'Jeopardy!' Just Yet!
Mattea Roach, it has been a pleasure watching you play. See you in the Tournament of Champions. pic.twitter.com/YVXnmUzecl

On Saturday, the official "Jeopardy!" Twitter account also honored her run, tweeting, "Mattea Roach, it has been a pleasure watching you play. See you in the Tournament of Champions."
Although it's no secret to anyone watching along at home that Mattea would be going to the Tournament of Champions later this year to face Matt Amodio, Jonathan Fisher, Amy Schneider, and the rest of the "Jeopardy!" greats from this season, the ever-humble Mattea confessed that she would probably lose to Amy if the two faced off against one another!
Congrats Mattea on a really good run. You brought personality and a little quirkiness to the show which is nice to see because the show gets too serious sometimes. Good luck in the TOC. Looking forward to seeing you, Matt and Amy compete against one another.

However, a lot of fans still have faith in Mattea. "Congrats Mattea on a really good run. You brought personality and a little quirkiness to the show which is nice to see because the show gets too serious sometimes," one fan commented. "Good luck in the TOC. Looking forward to seeing you, Matt and Amy compete against one another."
Jeopardy should just have Matt, Amy, and Mattea compete in primetime, like another GOAT tournament, and have the Tournament of Champions be for regular champions, who would surely be overshadowed if the 3 super champions were to compete. #Jeopardy

Fans will just have to see how it all shakes out when Mattea joins the Tournament of Champions later this year. Although Amy previously hinted that the tournament will air in November, no release date has yet to be revealed. The "Jeopardy!" hosting position is also still up for grabs, but Mattea gave a ringing endorsement as to who she wants to see fill the shoes of the late Alex Trebek.
