Howard Stern Calls Hollywood Elites Hypocrites For Consoling Will Smith After Chris Rock Slap

Howard Stern has had enough with some of Hollywood's elites, namely Will Smith.
The veteran radio show host went OFF about Smith and his Oscars showdown with Chris Rock.
His impassioned opinion came after comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked onstage during his comedy show at the Hollywood Bowl earlier this week.
Dave Chappelle Was Attacked Onstage
On Tuesday, May 3, the “Chappelle Show” star was performing at the “Netflix Is A Joke” comedy festival.
Footage of the event has been circulating around social media. The footage seems to show Dave in the middle of his routine when a man suddenly rushes at him onstage and knocks him to the floor. The man was later dragged away by security.

Many of Chappelle’s famous friends and fellow comedians were in the audience, including Rock and Jamie Foxx.
Foxx and Rock both came rushing out when the attacker pummeled their friend.
The “Grown Ups” actor even made a joke after Chappelle stood up and assured fans he was okay.
“Was that Will Smith?” Rock joked.
He got a roaring applause and laughter from the audience.
While it’s great Chappelle’s friends came to his defense, Stern is taking issue with how people reacted, or DIDN’T react, at the 94th Annual Academy Awards when Smith “slapped the s**t” out of Rock.
Stern Is Pissed About The Hypocrisy In Hollywood
During his Wednesday show, Stern said, “This guy jumped up on stage and attacked Dave Chappelle. As soon as that happened, did they let him go back to his seat and laugh and sit next to his wife and then give them an award? No!”
This is obviously a direct reference to Smith getting to sit back down in his seat and later accept his “Best Actor” award at the Oscars.
He continued explaining what happened to the attacker.
“They took him backstage, they broke his arms and hands so bad. They f**king beat the s**t out of him,” Stern stated.
He then turned his attention to how the audience at the Oscars reacted and compared it to Chappelle’s standup show.
"Unlike the Academy Awards, Jamie Foxx came running out on stage and helped Dave Chappelle. At the Academy Awards, everyone came over and consoled Will Smith, because it was live television and Hollywood didn't know what to do about Will Smith,” he said. "Listen! You don't treat Will Smith any different than they did the Chappelle attacker.”
To add even more evidence of the hypocrisy in Hollywood, Stern continued to explain how Smith was patted on the back and his hand was shook after hitting Rock.
The Love & Applause Smith Got After Slapping Rock Isn't Fake News
"The audience at the Oscars gave Will Smith a standing ovation after the attack, that's the truth. It's on film, it's not fake news,” Stern noted. “They didn't break Will's hands, they shook them and it's wrong and they all should be ashamed of themselves."
Dave was reportedly not injured in the incident, NBC News Los Angeles reported that the Los Angeles Police Department took a man into custody and said that he had a replica gun “that can eject a knife blade” in his possession. It’s unclear if he attempted to use the weapon in the attack.
The attacker was later identified as aspiring rapper NoName Trapper. He released a song called “Dave Chappell” in 2020.
