On Thursday, May 5, a clip of Burke's interview with Hall was shared on the talk show's YouTube channel, in which the choreographer shared intimate details about her relationship with Lawrence.

According to the two-time "DWTS" Mirror Ball trophy winner, the former couple tried to make their marriage work by attending therapy before and during their three-year-long affair.

The TV personality described herself as a " huge advocate" for couple's therapy, emphasizing that she genuinely believed it was a necessary part of their relationship.

The ballroom dancer also explained that the general belief that lovers should only attend therapy when they have problems was wrong, as seeking professional advice helped strengthen the relationship. In her words:

"I think it's very healthy to have that third person there that's not biased and that can give you ways and tools on how to communicate."

The California native added that she did not regret going to therapy because she believed it was helpful to the former spouses, especially in understanding that "emotions and feelings" tend to get "misconstrued."

However, therapy could not stop the pair from writing the final chapter of their love story, a situation Burke associated with growth. The "I Can Do That" former contestant said:

"We definitely did try. People evolve. People grow. And sometimes they grow together, and sometimes they unfortunately grow apart."

As for why she decided to discuss the estranged couple's situation, the "Dance Moms" host explained that it was better to be "open" instead of letting people spread false rumors.

The 38-year-old noted that what went down between the exes was not the public's business, and she would never say anything regarding that matter.

The TV presenter also shared a special message to women trying to end a relationship, assuring her heartbroken comrades that they were not alone in the painful process.

Although life without her significant other has not been easy, the "Dancing Lessons" author moved on with nothing but love in her heart for the "Boy Meets World" actor. The ABC star said:

"I mean, he will always have a special place in my heart for sure. I mean, I will. I have so much love for him and his family forever."

However, being single did not mean the Prime Time Emmy winner was ready to mingle. Burke confessed that finding a new lover may not happen anytime soon.

According to the "DWTS" veteran, she suffered from "social phobia" and preferred staying at home, especially with her ongoing sobriety.

At this time in her life, the brunette wished to learn how to love herself first before allowing another person into her heart.

As previously reported by The Blast, Burke planned on using her divorce from the "Brotherly Love" star as motivation for her new podcast series, "Burke In The Game."

Before their three-year marriage, the former spouses began dating in 2007 but ended their relationship in 2008. The pair later reunited in 2017 and tied the knot in 2019.

After going their separate ways in February 2022, the 38-year-old dance instructor wished to embrace her single life by documenting the journey in her latest podcast.

According to sources, "Burke In The Game" would help the choreographer "face her fears" while learning to love herself as she tries to dive into the dating pool.
