Kourtney Kardashian Credits Travis Barker For Helping With Her Nerves On Red Carpets

Kourtney Kardashian has nothing to worry about when her tattooed Prince Charming is around!

The reality TV star, who gained recognition as a member of the famous Kardashians-Jenner clan, recently made her Met Gala debut.

By her side on this big day was none other than her fiancé Travis Barker, who twinned it up with his significant other for the annual prestigious fashion event.

Before strutting down the iconic Met Gala's red carpet, Kardashian underwent a series of glam steps to achieve her flawless look for the event and shared the juicy details on her POOSH website.

Surprisingly, being one of the most famous people in the world did not mean that the 43-year-old media personality had nerves of steel as the Los Angeles native previously avoided the Met Gala.

According to the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" alum, she never considered attending the fashion event because it always felt "too overwhelming and seemed like a lot of pressure."

The mother-of-three admitted that she used to get nervous on red carpets; however, her worries were blown out the window when Barker entered the picture.

Taking the opportunity to praise her fiancé, the soon-to-be bride explained that she enjoyed going on these types of outings with the Blink-182 drummer because he made every occasion fun.

This is why the couple decided to enjoy themselves without any pressure after receiving an invitation to this year's Met Gala. In the TV personality's words:

"When Travis and I were invited this year, we decided we were going to just enjoy the process, have fun being together, and not stress about it— and that’s exactly what we did!"

The "Kardashian Konfidential" co-writer revealed that she enjoyed a relaxing facial a night before the event after skincare expert Joanna Czech came to the couple's suite at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Central Park.

To keep the tranquil atmosphere going, the lovebirds went out for matcha on the day of the Met Gala, worked out, and had lunch before preparing for the fashion event. 

The dynamic duo also used the prestigious ceremony to promote their blossoming romance by wearing matching outfits made by Thom Browne.

The "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive" alum explained that the pair were the first couple the luxury fashion designer had ever styled, and his vision consisted of making them an extension of each other.

Barker looked "perfectly polished in a gilded era-inspired white-tie formal look," while the reality TV star became the "unrefined, undone version" of him by using pieces of her fiancé's outfit to create her look.

For their complete ensembles, the "Kourtney And Kim Take New York" star rocked a cropped white button-down shirt paired with a black mermaid-inspired maxi skirt designed with a muslin cummerbund corset.

On the other hand, the American socialite's significant other rocked a similar style with a white shirt and matching white bow tie paired with a black tuxedo jacket, black pleated skirt, and black trousers.

The couple also twinned it up by designing their thumbs with an old English K and wearing matching black shoes for the event, with Barker in flats and Kardashian in heels.

As previously shared by The Blast, Kardashian turned 43 on April 18, and her doting fiancé marked the milestone with a sweet declaration of his undying love.

Taking to Instagram, the 46-year-old shared a sizzling black-and-white image of the lovebirds sitting on the bed, with Barker embracing the media personality from behind.

In the image, the Blink-182 drummer had his numerous tattoos on display as he went topless for the picture while his fiancée wore a lacy silk nightdress.

The PDA was heavy in the photo as the birthday girl looked blissful, posing with her eyes closed as she enjoyed being wrapped in her lover's arms.

The rock star captioned this tender moment, "My best friend, my lover, my everything. Happy Birthday @kourtneykardash. I love you ♾."

In response to his heartwarming words, fans flooded the post with over 800,000 likes and 2,000 comments, including a message from the birthday girl that read, "All I could ever dream of and more ♾."
