On Wednesday, Star Wars fans celebrated their favorite holiday of the year: Star Wars Day.

The day is also called May The 4th Be With You, a play on the phrase, “May the Force Be With You.”

Many fans and celebrities took to social media to share how they were celebrating the annual holiday. Even the cast of Sesame Street decided to get in on the fun!

Sesame Street Teases A Hilarious Star Wars Day Message For Fans

On Wednesday, the official Sesame Street account tweeted, “You’ve never heard of the Marzipan Falcon? It’s the ship that made the Cookie Run in less than twelve parsecs!” #MayThe4thBeWithYou”

Cookie Monster shared the post, adding, “Me think this ship look pretty good, me hope no one call it piece of junk!”

Cookie Monster later followed it up with, “Me find your lack of cookies disturbing. #MayThe4thBeWithYou.”

Unfortunately, it seems that Elmo might not be a fan of “Star Wars.” Elmo’s last post was dated yesterday, Tuesday, May 3.

“When Alan said it would rain cats and dogs in May, this is not what Elmo expected,” Elmo tweeted.

Even still, plenty of fans – and brands! – had some pretty funny responses to Sesame Street’s post!

Chips Ahoy! Has The Best Response To Sesame Street Tweet

The official Star Wars account took to the comments to write, “That’s no moon! #Maythe4thBeWithYou #StarWarsDay.”

The official Chips Ahoy Twitter account commented, “looks like your Marzipan Falcon could use a cookie jar!” They also posted a separate tweet on their Twitter page to celebrate the holiday.

“Eating cookies today are you?” the brand asked in Yoda-speak. They added the hashtag #maythefourth.

Sesame Street somehow pulled the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s official Twitter account into the mix, with them putting a spin on Anakin’s popular prequel meme about sand. “I don’t like crumbs,” they tweeted. “It’s coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.”

However, the tweet failed to impress at least one fan. “C’mon, if you’re going to give Cookie lines, at least type them out like he would,” they commented. “That way we can hear it in his voice.”

Another fan shared a photo of what could be Cookie Monster’s co-pilot.
