Singer Naomi Judd, part of the Grammy-winning duo The Judds and mother of Wynonna and Ashley Judd passed away on Saturday at the age of 76.

Her daughters announced her death in a statement provided to The Associated Press. “Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness,” the statement said. “We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory.” The Judds were scheduled to be inducted into the County Music Hall of Fame on Sunday.

Andy Cohen's 'WWHL' Pays Tribute To Late Naomi Judd

Naomi had previously appeared on the Bravo TV show. Its official Twitter account posted a touching tribute mourning her passing. "We’re heartbroken to learn of the passing of country icon and friend of the show, Naomi Judd," they tweeted. "Our thoughts & prayers are with the Judd family, her friends, & her fans during this difficult time. ❤️"

One fan commented, "My goodness she was so Beautiful! Full Of life ? She [made] me smile so many [times] with her songs & when [she appeared] with her daughter ? Another ⭐️in the sky ??"

"So sorry to hear about Naomi Judd," another fan added. "I love her and Winona together. I'm sad Winona won't get to do that final tour with her mama."

Andy Cohen Remembers Naomi Judd As A 'Wonderful Spirit'

On Saturday night, Andy retweeted the initial post, adding, "I loved Naomi Judd. Among her many talents, she was just so much fun, a great storyteller and a wonderful spirit."

Michael Weinfeld agreed. "You're so right about Naomi's gift as a storyteller. She was probably the most honest, open and funny person I ever had the honor of speaking with," he shared. "I'm posting an excerpt from our 1993 interview so fans can enjoy some of those stories, too."
