Paul Bettany's Kids Think His Vision Character Is The 'Worst' Avenger

Actor Paul Bettany is well known for his role as the superhero Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies like "Avengers: Infinity War," "Avengers: Endgame," and the limited series Wandavision. Bettany's character has been in the MCU since the early movies and was an integral character until and even after his death.
During a recent interview, Bettany revealed that his kids think that being a member of the Avengers is very cool and explained that they also believe Vision is the worst of the superhero group.
Read on to learn more about his kids' opinion of Vision and more.
Bettany Has Been In The MCU Since The Beginning
Bettany became a part of the MCU in 2008 when the iconic "Iron Man" movie was released. He was the voice of JARVIS, artificial intelligence built by Tony Stark that helped him develop his Iron Man suit. Bettany featured as JARVIS in subsequent Iron Man films and the first two Avengers films.
In "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Stark uploaded the remnants of JARVIS' code into a synthetic vibranium body, creating Vision the superhero. This brought Bettany as a physical person and carried him into most MCU films until Thanos killed him in "Avengers: Endgame."
Ironically, his last MCU feature was in Wandavision, where he features as one of the main characters and a figment of Wanda Maximoff's (his wife's) magic and imagination. This movie also introduced White Vision, which kind of leaves Bettany's status in the MCU open.
His Kids Tagged Vision As The Worst Avenger
While on a recent appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," host Seth Meyers asked Bettany if his kids know that he is an Avenger and if they think it is cool. He said they believe it is cool but also "torture me with it." He also revealed that they think that he is the worst hero out of the avengers.
He also provided proof of the one time his kids changed his Disney+ avatar from a picture of him as Vision to a writing of "Worst Avenger." The fifty-year-old said, "Yes, but they torture me with it. My daughter has moved through all the different Avengers as her favorite. It's never, never me."
"And, actually, just recently, I turned on [my TV] - I wanted to watch Moon Knight, which is fantastic," the "Legion" actor continued, "And I tried to log in to my Disney+ account, and they had edited my profile."
Vision Is Actually Quite Powerful
Bettany kids aren't the only ones who have doubted Vision. Even in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," the other superheroes doubted Vision's trustworthiness, and he proved them wrong by lifting Thor's Hammer easily and handing it to him.
Some fans argue that Vision can be weird and has a stilted personality that likely stems from his roots as an AI robot. His kids probably do it to tease him as they are likely aware, like many other MCU fans are, that Vision is often seen as one of the most powerful heroes in the Avengers, especially as his powers stem from an infinity stone (before getting pulled out by Thanos.)
Vision Might Come Back To The MCU
Neither Bettany nor Marvel has announced if Bettany will be returning to the MCU, but some interesting possibilities exist. Fans know there won't be a sequel to WandaVision, but he might return to future MCU movies through the character of White Vision.

Another way Bettany might return is by voicing JARVIS or Vision again, as he did in Marvel's "What If" Disney+ series, which might receive more seasons. There is also the upcoming "Armor Wars" series which might bring Bettany in as a connection with Tony Stark.
Any of these opportunities would give Bettany more chances to prove to his kids and again to his fans that Vision is one of the coolest Avengers and worthy of their adoration.
