Kate Hudson is expanding her reach into the music industry, and her fans are super excited for her. The star actress recently shared a photo on social media of her singing in a rehearsal studio and announced that she is in the process of recording her first album.

After decades of dedication to the film industry, Hudson recently took to her Instagram to share a photo of herself singing in a rehearsal studio and announced that she plans to finally record her first album.

The 43-year-old Golden Globe winner captioned the post with, "Finally realized it's time to say f--k it and saaaannngg!!!!! #albumincoming #myikigai ." It seems that she was calling music her "ikigai," which is a Japanese concept that means "reason for being."
It is no secret that Hudson is very talented vocally as she has displayed it in her performances for several films and series, but her fans never thought she'd transition into music properly, so this is a big and exciting moment for her and her fans.

Many of Hudson's celebrity friends and co-workers flooded the comment section of her post to celebrate her new journey and show their support. Her co-star from "Something Borrowed," Hilary Swank, wrote, "Yeeeeeessssssss, you're making my dream come true!!!!!"

Kate Hudson Has Mixed In Singing With Her Acting Career
This album is Hudson's first proper music project, but it is far from her first time singing professionally. The Fabletics co-founder comes from a musical family. Her father, William Louis Hudson Jr., was a vocalist for decades in a band called The Hudson Brothers, which he formed with his siblings.
She has also regularly mixed music into her acting career severally, such as when she performed "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon with actor Matthew McConaughey in their hit movie, "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." Another similarly memorable music moment was when she performed "Cinema Italiano" in the 2009 musical "Nine."
She's also proven she has dance skills when she featured as a dance instructor in five episodes of the hit music series "Glee," during which she performed several songs, such as "All That Jazz" from "Chicago" and "Upright (Everything's Alright)" by Stevie Wonder.

During an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's NBC variety game show, That's My Jam, Hudson showed off her talent by performing a take on "7 Rings" by Ariana Grande. After her performance, Fallon was so stunned he had to ask her, "How did you know how to do that?"
Grande herself was so impressed she had to comment under a video Hudson posted on Instagram of the performance. She wrote, "Stunning perfect gorgeous. May we have this on all streaming services please?"
