Jessica Biel On Approaching 10-Year Anniversary With Justin Timberlake: 'I'm The Happiest'

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are celebrating their 10th year together, and the actress only has good things to say about their marriage. The duo got married in 2012 after a year of engagement and four years of dating. 

The couple welcomed their first child two years later and had a second child by the end of 2020. After almost ten years together, Biel recently appeared in an interview to talk about how happy she was in her marriage despite minor setbacks. 

The actress revealed that she was really proud of the union and it was the happiest part of her life. Biel also talked about how she and Timberlake managed to keep the love alive over the years. 

With just a few days to their 10th anniversary, Biel has opened up about how proud she is, especially in light of what the couple has endured. Talking to Access Hollywood, the 40-year-old said, "I sometimes feel like 10 years has just flown by in the blink of an eye and other times I feel like, 'Oh my gosh, 10 years, that's a really substantial amount of someone's life."

The "7th Heaven" alum added, "I just feel really proud of it." Biel revealed that she and Timberlake had their share of "ups and downs like everybody," but she was still proud of her marriage and is the "happiest and loving my life."

In an interview with E! News in 2018, Biel revealed that one thing she tried to keep alive in her relationship with her husband was their dating relationship and ensured they always had time for each other. The actress said, "You just have to make time for date night, time for yourself alone and time with your partner. It has to be fun." 

According to Biel, Timberlake is on the same page with her regarding dating. She revealed that keeping the fun alive with your partner the same way you did before getting married was a sure way to keep the marriage exciting. 

She said, "I love that because it's true. You have to continue to make the space for yourself and your partner to just have fun like you did before you had kids. And not talk about them! Keep it fresh, keep it exciting. Spontaneous if at all possible."

Biel turned 40 last month, and Timberlake took to Instagram to post the actress and celebrate her. His Instagram story read, "Whether it's laid up on a couch, kicking my ass at the gym or dressing up at ridiculous costume parties… you make it all look good. I love you, and I celebrate you every day."

Biel and her "Mirrors" singing husband started dating back in 2007, and four years later, the duo got engaged. By October 2012, the couple got married at the Borgo Egnazia resort in Fasano, Italy, and they welcomed their first child two years later. 

An insider told Us Weekly at that time, "Right now, they're just enjoying the news for themselves. They just want a happy baby." Biel gave birth to Silas in April 2015, and by July 2020, news leaked that the duo had just welcomed a second child. They didn't reveal their baby's name until January 2021.

In a "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" episode, Timberlake revealed that his second son's name was Phineas and that they were all thrilled with the addition to their home. She said, "His name is Phineas, and he's awesome, and he's so cute, and nobody is sleeping, but we're thrilled and couldn't be happier." 

Not long before the couple welcomed their fourth addition to the home, their marriage came under public scrutiny. In late 2019, Timberlake was photographed in a compromising situation with "Palmer" costar, Alisha Wainwright. 

The 41-year-old addressed the news in December that year via a lengthy note on Instagram. He revealed he was intoxicated at the time but never crossed any major lines with Wainwright. Timberlake wrote, "A few weeks ago, I displayed a strong lapse of judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar."
