Ewan McGregor & Mary Elizabeth Winstead Are Officially Husband And Wife!

Actor Ewan McGregor has officially tied the knot with his “Fargo” costar Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
As The Blast previously reported, a source had told Page Six that the two were getting married last Friday in a small, intimate ceremony with family and close friends. The two met on the set of “Fargo” in 2016 while they were both married to other people. They started dating in 2017 and welcomed a son, Laurie, in June 2021.

A source told PEOPLE that the “adorable” couple” had “an outdoor ceremony.”
“It was a small wedding for family and close friends,” the source dished, calling it “lovely and joyful.” They explained that the menu was “farm-to-table.” The source added, “They are pretty low-key and like their canyon life. They often hike and go to the beach.”
The “Halston” actor, 51, met Winstead, 37, on the set of “Fargo” in late 2016. In May 2017, Winstead divorced her husband Riley Stearns after being married for seven years.
A few months later, the Emmy-award-winning actor filed for divorce from Eve Mavrakis in January 2018. In November 2019, McGregor asked a judge to declare him single before the couple had settled the terms of their divorce. The settlement was reached in the summer of 2020.
McGregor is also a father to daughters Clara, 26, Jamyan, 20, Esther, 20, and Anouk, 10, with his first wife.

While accepting his Emmy for his role as the titular “Halston” last September, McGregor thanked Winstead during his acceptance speech.
“Mary, I love you so much. I'm gonna take this home and show it to our new little boy, Laurie,” he said during his acceptance speech. “And to my beautiful girls, who I know are watching, Clara, Esther, Jamyan and Anouk, hello to you too. Thank you very much everybody!”
A year prior to his award win, in 2020, Winstead told Glamour U.K. about her “scary, crazy” divorce.
“I got divorced a couple of years ago, which was a scary, crazy thing for me because I had been with the same person since I was 18 years old, and that was what I knew,” she said at the time. “I was really starting new as an adult for the first time in my life. For me that was a big turning point, being okay with changing, accepting that change is a good thing and that it's okay not to know where that change is going to take you.”

McGregor first appeared as a younger version of Obi-Wan Kenobi in 1999’s “The Phantom Menace,” which was the first film in the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy. He reprised his role again in 2002’s “Attack of the Clones” and 2005’s “Revenge of the Sith.” The character had been originated by the late Sir Alec Guinness, starting with 1977’s “A New Hope.”
McGregor is now reprising his role for the Disney+ live-action series “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” The six-episode limited series was supposed to debut on May 25, 2022 – exactly 45 years after “A New Hope” hit theaters – but it has been delayed until Friday, May 27, to coincide with the annual fan event Star Wars Celebration, which is held in Anaheim, California this year. To apologize for the delay, Disney has announced that they will release two episodes of the series instead of just one.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Winstead will be joining the cast of “Ahsoka” in an undisclosed role. Rosario Dawson will be reprising her role as the titular Jedi Ahsoka Tano. The character had first appeared in the animated “Clone Wars” and “Rebels” series. She made her live-screen debut in “The Mandalorian” and made a brief appearance in the spin-off series, “The Book of Boba Fett.”
“Ahsoka” is believed to hit Disney+ sometime in 2023. Filming started in Los Angeles this month.
