Actor Johnny Depp has been making headlines due to his defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
The couple is facing each other at the Fairfax County Circuit Court. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor is suing his ex-wife for $50 million over a December 2018 op-ed Heard wrote for the Washington Post where she claims that she is a domestic violence survivor. Although she did not mention Depp by name, he claims that he has lost movie roles due to the “clear implication” that he was the “Aquaman” actress’ abuser.
His testimony from Tuesday can be found here. His testimony from Wednesday morning can be found here. The graphic allegations of abuse Depp claims Heard committed can be found here. The morning portion of the cross-examination can be read here and his testimony from Thursday afternoon can be found here.
Women’s Facebook Group Expresses Support For Johnny Depp
Many people have been weighing in on both sides of the debate. Just as Amber Heard claimed that Depp was abusive to her, Depp has also claimed that she was abusive towards him and described her “punching” and “scratching” him. The trial is expected to go on for weeks yet and Heard has not yet had a chance to testify.
However, one Facebook group called A Woman’s Soul is throwing their support behind “The Lone Ranger” actor. Their full post can be read below:
So throughout the past week during the Depp/Heard trial we have learned:
- Women can verbally assault men in front of everyone and it's perfectly fine.
- A woman can relieve herself on a man's pillow and laugh with her friends about it and that's fine
- A woman can cut off a man's finger tip in a heated argument and no one bats an eye
- A woman can demand money in a civil setting and claim its for donation purposes and keep it and all is right with the world.
- A woman can gas light a man into believing horrible things about himself that are not true
- A woman can smirk and laugh during court proceedings while a man is forced to relive horrible experiences
- A woman can talk poorly about a man's kids
- A woman can put make up and finger nail polish on her and the law will pass it off as bruises and blood
- A man can be trauma bonded into submission
- A man can love hard and be fearful of failure and force himself to stay
- A man can battle addictions but like everyone else, cannot do it alone.
- A man can lose his career over allegations but a woman with the same keeps her job.
- A man is not allowed to defend himself in court without harassment
- A man is not allowed to have a fair trial because the judge backs the woman
- A man is judged because he worries how the accusations will affect his children, family, etc.
- A MAN CAN BE A VICTIM OF ABUSE AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
I stand with Johnny Depp.

“My heart hurts for Johnny watching him struggle to tell everyone his personal trials. It’s heartbreaking knowing the devastation that abuse can cause to your self-esteem and self-worth,” said another. “Amber will get what’s coming to her, whether in court or through karma. What goes around comes around. I’d hate to be her on judgment day.”
'this case may change outcomes for all survivors of Domestic Violence of any gender'
“It's crazy, she was sitting him up all along,” another commented. “I'm not saying he is perfect, they both have faults as we all do. But I do believe she is so wrong for the lies she has told. She don't want to take any blame, it's not right for her to get away with it !! I am for Johnny, I feel so bad for him.”
“Survivors of DV are generally women, but it also happens in same sex relationships and to men too,” another commented. “Predominately the victim is a woman who is not believed or able to recover from all the PTSD and trauma. I think Johnny is the survivor in this story and this case may change outcomes for all survivors of Domestic Violence of any gender.”
If there is anything that people can take away from this lawsuit, is that domestic violence can happen to both men and women. Regardless of how the trial plays out, each side is expected to appeal, meaning that this lawsuit can drag on for months or even years before a resolution is reached.
