After a long season of waiting, Rudy Giuliani was finally unmasked on “The Masked Singer.”
His unmasking was spoiled long before he came on the show, with Deadline reporting that Ken Jeong had stormed off the stage before the season had even begun.
After singing “Bad to the Bone” dressed as a Jack-In-The-Box, the former New York City mayor absolutely stunned the judges – and host Nick Cannon – after his unmasking,

After his unmasking, Nicole Scherzinger asked, “Is that Robert Duvall?”
“No,” Ken replies flatly. “No, that’s not Robert Duvall.” Ken stood with his arms across his chest while judges Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg smiled and clapped.
“This is definitely something I never would have guessed,” Thicke said.
Nick Cannon told the former member of Donald Trump’s legal team, “Mr. Giuliani, with all of the controversy that’s surrounding you right now, I think it surprises us all that you’re here on The Masked Singer.”
“Me too,” Giuliani replies before saying, “I guess the main reason is, I just had a granddaughter Grace, and I want her to know that you should try everything, even things that are completely unlike you and unlikely.”
After Giuliani started giving his final performance, Ken could be heard saying, “I’m done” as he turned around and headed off stage. Robin Thicke was nowhere to be seen as Nicole and Jenny danced and sang along with Giuliani.
Although it was reported that both Ken and Robin stormed off stage in protest, an inside source told PEOPLE that only Jeong was upset, and Thicke merely left to check on his friend.
Ken Jeong Felt 'Disrespected' By Rudi Giuliani's Appearance
Back in February, before season 7 even aired, audiences already knew that Ken Jeong was going to storm off stage after Giuliani was unmasked, so it didn't come as a surprise to most fans watching along at home.
"Ken was super upset and indeed stormed out," the source told the publication. "Robin actually followed him because he and Ken are very close friends and he wanted to check on him. Robin didn't storm out because of Giuliani."
Another source said that Ken felt "disrespected" by having Giuliani cast in the show.
"Ken felt disrespected and was livid to see Rudy was under the mask which is why he walked off. There's no way he could hide his feelings," the insider claimed.
"Ken has been incredibly vocal about how the previous administration handled many things but especially COVID-19 and has found a lot of what they've said not only wrong but dangerous," the insider explained. "To get someone who helped to spread misinformation and call into question the accuracy of our election and democracy to appear on his show was going to set him off."
It seemed to set off a lot of fans at home, too.
Twitter Fans Express Outrage Over Rudy Giuliani's Appearance On 'The Masked Singer'
Fans took to social media to share their opinions on Rudy Giuliani's appearance, which caused it to start trending Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
CAN WE PLEASE STOP PUTTING TRAITORS LIKE RUDY GIULIANI ON SHOWS LIKE THE MASKED SINGER???
STOP NORMALIZING CRIMINALS.

Ken Jeong had the courage and the dignity do the right thing. Giuliani deserves to be in prison along with his puppet master trump, not on a television show. This was a very poor decision even for the Fox network, who is notorious for their poor decisions #TheMaskedSinger

He should be in prison, but Rudy Giuliani is on The Masked Singer right now. pic.twitter.com/ZKM5Gkca7F

This is honestly one of the most shameful, desperate, and pathetic things I’ve ever seen on television. The @MaskedSingerFOX is trash TV. https://t.co/dEwQ8oyXNZ

Ken Jeong walking off wasnt a “crybaby move”
He’s a doctor, he’s Asian, he’s faced racism and harmful views pushed forward by the very guy who laughed and smiled with Jenny McCarthy (who was way too excited to see Giuliani)
It’s gross. Do better @MaskedSingerFOX
