Sofia Richie Is Engaged To Boyfriend Elliot Grainge After Just 1 Year Of Dating

Sofia Richie is now officially a fiancée! The model and her boyfriend of one year, Elliot Grainge, recently took their relationship to the next level.

Richie broke the great news via a post on Instagram on Wednesday, April 20, giving fans a glimpse of her blinding huge diamond ring!

The social media personality uploaded two photos of her breathtaking outdoor proposal. Richie looked stunning in a simple yellow floral sundress, paired with fancy slippers and simple jewelry accessories.

The daughter of legendary singer Lionel Richie looked visibly shocked as Grainge got on one knee to pop the big question. The lovebirds were surrounded by an elaborate decoration of candles with several petals of flowers beautifully scattered on the tiled floor.

The couple posed against a background of the blue sunset with palm trees in view, but the location of the glamorous proposal wasn't disclosed in the post. Richie then blessed fans with a close glimpse of her engagement ring in the follow-up slide.

While sharing an intimate kiss with her now-fiance, Richie placed her hand affectionately on her man's face, and we got to see the blinding emerald-cut diamond ring sitting pretty on her finger. The soon-to-be bride captioned the heartwarming post, "Forever isn’t long enough @elliot."

The young fashion designer shared several congratulatory messages from her inner circle, including her big sister Nicole Richie who wrote, "I can't wait to find ways to make this about me."

Grainge wasn't left out of the celebration as he took to his Instagram to share a picture of himself and his woman kissing close to an outdoor fire stand with the caption, "She said yes ❤️❤️❤️," to which Richie replied in the comments, "I love you."

Although Richie and Grainge have only been together for just one year, a source close to the pair revealed that they have been ready to take things to the next level for months now.

The insider revealed to E! News as far back as November 2021, "They have talked about getting engaged, and it's something that Sofia wants and is looking forward to. They are a great match, and it's going really well. Sofia and Elliot currently live together, and the adjustment has been so easy and seamless."

The source explained that the model, who has worked with brands like Michael Kors, was particularly fond of the bond she shares with Grainge and how it is drama-free. "She loves how chill and calm Elliot is, and they have a lot of fun together, even when they're just being low-key at home," the insider commented.

Also, Richie's dad has been a big fan of their romance from the moment it began. Grainge, the son of Lucian Grainge, the CEO of Universal Music Group, first sparked romance rumors with Richie in April 2021, and days later, they became Instagram official.

Although Richie and Grainge's engagement seems fast-paced, it doesn't particularly come as a surprise as it's often a characteristic of Scott Disick's ex-girlfriends.

The 23-year-old has a long list of A-list relationships, but her romance with Disick made major headlines. As you might know, Disick and Richie first began dating in 2017 despite a controversial 17-year age gap.

The relationship was frowned on by fans, and allegedly the "Stuck On You" singer didn't approve of his daughter's romance with the "KUWTK" alum. Richie was only 19 when they just began dating, to make things worse.

The former lovebirds were on and off for three years before officially ending in May 2020. Shortly after her split, she reconnected with former fling Jaden Smith.
