Although she did not mention Depp by name, he claims that he has lost movie roles due to the “clear implication” that he was the “Aquaman” actress’ abuser. On Tuesday, April 19, Depp began his testimony, where he talked about the childhood abuse he suffered, his drug addiction, and the overwhelming fame that he experienced following his starring role as Captain Jack Sparrow.

His testimony from Tuesday can be found here. His testimony from earlier this morning can be found here.

Johnny Depp Claims That He Was 'Punched' By Amber Heard

The "Fantastic Beasts" actor said that the above bruise was the result of a "roundhouse punch" by Amber Heard. He claimed that the incident took place only a week after the tip of his finger was severed.

Depp said that he did not remember why Heard was upset, but that her sister, Whitney, had attempted to stop Heard.

Lawyers played an audio recording where Heard claims that she does not remember being abusive to Johnny Depp. At one point, Depp says that he went to various bathrooms and bedrooms to "escape the fight." Heard counters that he "escapes the solution."

In another recording, Heard can be saying it's "irrelevant" and seems to admit throwing pots and pans at him when she says that Depp is using that to "justify" approaching her door.

In yet another recording, Heard admitted to "hitting" him but denied "punching" Depp. "You didn't get punched," Heard said. "I did not f---ing deck you. I did not punch you. I was hitting you."

"You are such a baby, grow the f--- up," Heard can be heard saying on the recording. "I did start a physical fight."

When asked to describe the audio recordings, Depp said that the audio recordings conveyed the "attitude" and the "need for a fight from Ms. Heard." He said that he wasn't sure if it was a "need for attention" but the "squabbling" and "the raising of the voice to essentially ex-communicate what I had to say about the situation."

Depp said that one incident happened at Penthouse #3 when he was taking a shower. He said that he "didn't want to deal with" the "aggressive, demeaning, toxic, violent... spew." He described how Heard was pushing on the door to get in and he was pushing the bathroom door back trying to close it.

He said when the door was "almost closed," Heard "yelped" in pain and indicated that she had hurt her foot. When Depp knelt down to inspect her foot, he alleges that Heard kicked the door into his head. Depp told the jury that he was "taken back" by such a "corrosive" move. He recalled standing up and he believes he asked, "What the f--- was that?"

He claims that Heard then "clocked me in the jaw." Depp says he started the audio recording after the incident and claims Heard was "trying to make less of what happened."

Depp says that the photo above shows "some scratches" from another "altercation." He claims that Heard came at him "with her nails, with her hands, scratching at me." He said the photos were taken ten days before Christmas on December 15, 2015.

The "Sweeney Todd" actor claims that the scratches were the result of an "altercation" where Heard "had some rage issue with me and I remember I was trying to go to my corner." As he was approaching the door to his office, Depp claims that Ms. Heard ran out of the master bedroom and "started just throwing wild punches at me, at the back of my head, at the side of my head, anything that she could connect with."

Depp says "I tried to avoid the attack." Depp claims that he got her into a "bear hug position" to try to stop the attack, but claimed that Heard was still "very angry, very animated."

"It was unpleasant," he added. He said that Heard later accused him of headbutting her and breaking her nose. "But there was no blood," Depp said. "I didn't hit her nose. If it was anything at all, it was a 'bump'... well, I'm trying to restain her. She's trying to get out of it. There's going to be some contact here or there. Accidental contact. Not a headbutt."

Depp testified that Heard "huffed off" and was gone for 7 to 8 minutes. He said she came back holding a tissue to her nose and showed him that there was "red" on the tissue. He alleges that Heard told him, "Way to go, Johnny, you broke my nose."

Depp said he went into "placation mode" but Heard would not let him see her nose. After she discarded the tissue in a wastebasket, Depp claims that the "red" on the tissue was nail polish.

Depp says that, while on vacation that month, Heard grabbed a can of mineral spirits and "chucked it at my face." Depp claims it hit him in the bridge of his nose "and it hurt." Depp said that four staff worked on the island and that two of them witnessed the incident. When asked how he knows that they witnessed the incident, Depp said that "they were visibly shaken by what they witnessed."

Heard's birthday is on April 22. For her birthday in 2016, Depp testified that Heard wanted to have a party with all of her friends. Before her birthday celebration, Depp said that he had been in a room for "many, many hours" with a group of new accountants.

Depp claims that he had texted her several times during the meeting, saying that he was probably going to be late for her birthday dinner. He said that he was an hour and forty-five minutes late to the party because he claims Heard texted him, asking him to pick up wine and weed before the party. Depp said he had a glass of wine with his new business manager prior to the party.

Depp alleges that Heard was "very cold" towards him at the party. He claims that, after the party, Heard called him "unreliable" while he was in bed reading. Depp claimed that Heard then got out of bed, and came to stand around his side of the bed and tried to "hit" around his face and neck.

Depp told the jury that he got out of bed, grabbed her by the shoulders, and sat her down on the bed. He claims he said, "I am leaving. Please do not get off the bed. Please do not try to stop me. I'm leaving." He claims that Heard got up from the bed and "squared off with me in the doorway of our bedroom."

Depp says he left "immediately" and went to his other house. He says the next day, Heard and her friends were going to Coachella for the weekend "and that was it." He claims that he did not see Heard for about a month.

At that time, Depp claims that security showed him a photograph of his bed, and there was "human fecal matter" on his side of the bed. Depp said his "initial response" was "I laughed." He called the incident "bizarre" and "so grotesque."

Depp Claims He Filed For Divorce After His Mother Passed Away

After his mother passed away, Depp said that he was not going to cite any violence or irreconcilable differences. Depp said that he wanted to state, simply, that they didn't have a "collar around each other's neck and a leash attached to it, and this piece of paper proves that that's true." Depp said that he wanted to end the marriage with "love" and take the idea of "ownership out of the picture."

Depp said he thought there would be a "calm understanding" from Heard and thought she would agree that "this was the best thing for both of us."

However, it was Heard that filed for divorce. Depp says that he was not aware that Heard made allegations of domestic abuse allegations until the 27th of May, which was his daughter's birthday. Depp said that he saw that Heard went to court with a mark on her face.

Depp said that he had spoken to director Tim Burton and his bandmates, including Alice Cooper, about what was going on. He said that Heard wanted seven million dollars in the settlement. At the time, they released a joint statement in regards to their divorce. He said he had "no idea" who wrote the statement and assumed that "lawyers" had written it.

Johnny Depp Reads Divorce Joint Statement In Court

The statement, which Depp was asked to read out loud in court, said, "Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity."

Depp said that he then began making scheduled payments to Ms. Heard and then, at a certain point, Heard had made statements to the press stating that the seven million was the settlement and would be divided between two charities. Depp said it was a breach of the agreement because neither party was supposed to speak on financial matters. When Heard broke that agreement, Depp had asked his business manager to send the money to the charities in Ms. Heard's name. Depp said that this made Heard "very angry" and allegedly accused him of looking for a tax break.

When asked about her 2018 op-ed, Depp said that "it was very well done with regard to violence against women, violence against anyone. It just seemed kind of strange other side, like, you know, like a two-headed coin."

After the op-ed was released, Depp claimed that it only took Disney "a couple of days" to remove him from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, which he says he learned about reading in a magazine. He said it was "very odd" because he had "many conversations" with the "Disney people."

When asked about the sixth film, Depp said the film was in "dangle mode."

Johnny Depp Says He Never Assaulted Ms. Heard In Closing Remarks

When asked if he ever physically or sexually assault Ms. Heard, he said, "Never. Certainly not."

When asked what he had lost as a result of Ms. Heard's allegations, he said, "Nothing less than everything. Nothing less than everything because when the allegations were made, when the allegations were rapidly circling the globe, telling people that I was a drunken, cocaine-fueled menace who beat women - suddenly, in my 50s - it's over. You know? You're done."

Depp said, "No matter the outcome of this trial, the second the accusations were made against me ... once that happened, I lost then. I lost because that is not a thing that anyone is gonna just put on your back for a short period of time. I will live with that for a long period of time because of the allegations. Because it was just a high-profile case. I lost then, no matter the outcome of this trial, I'll carry that for the rest of my days and it never had to be that way. It never had to happen and I don't quite understand why it did in the way that it did."

Depp will continue to be cross-examined on the stand tomorrow. Although there were only twenty minutes left in the day, Depp was still questioned about the December 2018 op-ed. When asked if he was suing her over the op-ed, Depp said that he was suing her over "defamation and the various falsities that she used to bring my life to an end."

Depp claimed that Heard used "sneaky ways of writing things" to identify him in the op-ed, despite not mentioning him by name in the article. He also spoke of Disney axing him from "Pirates 6" and asked Depp to confirm on the stand that he would not resume working for Disney after the incident.

The cross-examination will continue tomorrow at 10 AM.
