Anitta has finally made it to the big stage, debuting at Coachella as the first-ever solo artist from her country, Brazil to do so. It has been quite a journey for the Brazilian singer, from the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro to the international Coachella stage and she is grateful for the opportunity.

She wowed the audience with special performances from artists like Snoop Dogg, Saweetie, and Diplo, and an absolutely wild and sexy set that involved a lot of booty shaking.

Latin American Superstar Anitta Makes Her Mark At Coachella

Anitta has been long loved as a Latin American singer, but as Coachella, it's clear, she's making a mark and a move in the US and her sexy performance got her a big thumbs up from all.

The curtains opened on a stage built to resemble Brazilian favelas, the slums that Anitta was raised in as a youngster. There was a pool table with Snoop Dogg hanging out and smoking a joint. He introduced Anitta to the Coachella audience and let the singer and her troop enthrall the crowd.

The 45-minute set moved fluidly between genres as easily as Anitta moved between costumes. She started with Brazilian and Latin music which made her a star but also added pop. Her Ryan Tedder-helmed hit “Faking Love,” featured a brief but powerful cameo from Saweetie before she moved on to rock, with the pop-punk “Boys Don’t Cry". Finally, it was hip-hop from "Versions of Me” and a Diplo-helmed dance-for-all finished the final set to rousing applause.
