Actress Liz Sheridan has unfortunately passed away. She was 93 years old.

The beloved actress was best known for playing Jerry Seinfeld’s mother on “Seinfeld” and also had a reoccurring role on “ALF.” She appeared in several Broadway shows before she eventually passed away on Friday in New York City.

Her longtime friend and rep, Amanda Hendon, told Deadline that she passed away overnight in her sleep of natural causes.

Shortly after her rep announced her death, Jerry Seinfeld, who played her TV son, took to Twitter to express his condolences.

He tweeted, “Liz was always the sweetest, nicest TV mom a son could wish for. Every time she came on our show it was the coziest feeling for me. So lucky to have known her.”

“Sorry to hear that. She was hilarious,” one fan commented. “Though of course some of us remember her from another show, too.” Liz was also well-known for playing the neighbor, Rachel, on “ALF.”

“Even at 93, life’s too short,” another added.

“She brought a lot of laughs and great memories to a lot of people. You all did @jerryseinfeld. The world needs more laughter,” another fan wrote.

“RIP Liz... Mrs Seinfeld was one of my favourite television characters... there is not a day goes by where I don't watch this show... first Estelle now Liz...it is a sad year ....” another commented.

“Jerry and George's Mom's gone in the same month.... SERENITY NOW!!!” said another. Estelle Harris, who played George Costanza (Jason Alexander)’s mother on “Seinfeld” passed away on April 2.

“I loved how much she loved Jerry on the show. ‘How could Anyone not like you??’ A great, very lovable actress,” another wrote. “It feels like I lost a couple of friends this week. Thank you for making me laugh, always. Rest In Peace.” Comedian Gilbert Gottfried passed away earlier this week, on Tuesday.

“She was a real funny actress RIP,” another wrote. “In my opinion, one of the things that made Seinfeld so great, was that it had very talented supporting actors.”
