One puppy managed to survive the brutality of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Although the footage of the human casualties of the war has been heartbreaking, many of the millions of refugees who had to flee the country were forced to leave their pets behind. These pets have been forced to hide in abandoned buildings, which have been demolished through the Russian shelling of the region.
Although there is no way to count exactly how many lives – both human and animal – have been lost due to this deadly invasion, at least one puppy was able to make it out alive.
