Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns never fail to show that they are each other’s support system as they navigate life together.
The LA Clippers star has been vocal about how much of a positive influence Woods has been in his life since the passing of his mother, Jacqueline Cruz.
Following the win of the athlete’s team in their most recent match, the loving girlfriend took to social media with an emotional tribute to his mother.
Jordyn Woods Tributes Karl-Anthony Towns’ Late Mom Amid LA Clippers’ Win

The Minnesota Timberwolves emerged victorious in the play-in against the LA Clippers on Tuesday, April 12, a day before the second anniversary of Cruz’s passing.
Despite the celebrations, Woods understood that it would be a hard day for Towns and updated her Instagram page with a sweet message to her man and a tribute to his late, supportive mother.
On Wednesday, April 13, the model uploaded an image of her and the athlete hugging at the game the night before, where the Timberwolves scored a 109-104 win.
Woods acknowledged how much her boyfriend’s matriarch was invested in his sports career and the effort it takes him to carry on in her absence, writing:
“This moment was so special to us because today is the 2 year anniversary of Jackie’s passing. And I know how tough it’s been doing all of this without her [heart emoji].”
The “Life of Kylie” album also expressed her pride in her man and noted that his involvement in sports had a more poignant meaning. She concluded, ” so proud of you @karltowns … it’s deeper than basketball!!”

Towns has been vocal about how much his girlfriend has been there for him since his mother gave up the ghost.
The Blast disclosed that while appearing on Taraji P. Henson’s talk show “Peace of Mind with Taraji,” the sports star spoke on how Woods made him more sensitive.
Towns noted that his partner also lost her father, John Woods, to cancer in January 2017. This allowed her to better relate to his mother’s passing to Covid-19 in April 2020.
The Minnesota Timberwolves Center said that his mother told him she would not leave him and show him who he was meant to be with before she passed. He continued:
“A woman that meant so much to me in my life left my life to be replaced by another woman to take that spot.”
Towns also avoided therapy because he was not ready to get vulnerable enough to express his pain, but Woods allowed him to let his guard down. He explained:
“It was not until with Jordyn that I learned the most important lesson … the male ego is the most sensitive and most dangerous thing the world has to offer.”

Towns has also been there for his loving partner during some of her difficult moments. Such as when she came under fire for plastic surgery speculations.
Last September, The Blast revealed that the model suffered backlash while promoting her new fitness app Frstplace. She updated her Instagram page with photos of herself that showed a significant change in her weight and appearance.
Woods wrote in her caption that the app helped her achieve her desired shape, and although she did not state the time frame, she explained that the “transformation was a gradual change.”
The 24-year-old’s upload was part of a promotional campaign for the app, which provides exercises and wellness guides to subscribers.
The campaign promised a $2500 award to whoever had the best transformation, but this led to severe criticism from fans who believed Wood’s shape was from cosmetic surgery.
A critic wrote, “She looks good, however, a plastic surgeon helped with the transformation! Please stop selling false hope to young girls and women!”
As the negative comments began taking over social media, Towns swooped in to defend his lover like a knight in shining armor. He tweeted:
“Are we saying that women can’t work hard and transform their bodies?? I’ve SEEN the hard work, and I’ve seen the results, and trust me, this is all natural.
The loving boyfriend continued that Woods has been called “vile things” by people due to her weight, and instead of letting the internet run her life, she chose to change things.
Towns concluded, “she went out to put the damn work in and changed her whole life. FITNESS SAVED HER LIFE!”
