Jennifer Garner's Stance On Ben Affleck's Engagement To Jennifer Lopez

News of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's second engagement is sizzling, and all of Hollywood is here for it, including Ben Affleck's ex-wife and actress, Jennifer Garner.

Affleck married 'sGarner after splitting with Lopez in 2004. The former couple spent 13 years together before getting a divorce in 2018.

Now, according to a source close to Garner, the actress was not only satisfied with the couple's recent revelation but she was also given advance notice of it all.

Per an insider, E! News disclosed that Garner, who shares three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, with her ex-husband Affleck, was delighted about the announcement, adding that the actress and her children had first dibs on it.

"Ben told Jen and the kids, so they knew about it," the insider shared. As for how she feels about the "I'm Real" singer? "Jen is happy for Ben," the source continued. "And knows that J. Lo has been a positive influence in certain ways."

Although Affleck and Lopez were overjoyed with their choice, the source stated that the couple had intended to keep it quiet for a little longer since they were completely overwhelmed by so much public attention during their previous effort to take their relationship into this phase.

Affleck and Garner got married in 2005 few years after his relationship with Lopez had hit the rocks. Following their separation in 2015, the duo continued to co-parent their kids, and as such, it is not surprising that there is no angst from the "Peppermint" actress.

According to another source, the proposal moment was without pomp and pageantry but was rather a more intimate moment that involved Affleck confirming his love for Lopez with a massive green engagement ring.

"The proposal was low-key but very meaningful," the source said. "Ben wanted the ring to be sentimental and put a lot of thought into it."

Indeed, the ring's sentimental worth exceeds its monetary value, demonstrating that Affleck was still in touch with Jennifer's affection for the color green, which she had expressed to her fans in a previous piece released in her On The Jlo website.

The singer also used the same platform to inform fans of her engagement, bursting with joy as she displayed the sign of love that further connects her to Affleck.

In her People cover story earlier this year, Lopez defined her restored romance with Affleck as "a beautiful love story," noting that if two people love themselves, it doesn't matter how long it takes or what challenges they face, things would finally work out. She also admitted how unusual it was for them to be able to reconnect after such a long time apart.
