She continued, “I just wanted the privacy. Social media can be harsh, and people [are] telling you what to do all the time, and I just wanted to cherish the moment with just me and Kane. I loved every second of it. I would do it again.”

Katelyn seemed to have made the right choice in being private about the birth, as she was able to relish every second she spent with the newborn.

The 30-year-old further gushed about how her youngster was doing, saying, “She’s the best. She’s such a great baby.”

Kane was also present at the awards event as he was occupied with hosting duties. Despite being a busy dad, he was able to co-host the ceremony with Anthony Mackie after Kelsea Ballerini tested positive for COVID.

The American Music Awards Winner And Spouse Intended To Keep First Pregnancy Secret

The year has been filled with good news for the country music star as he started the year with amazing news about his second daughter’s birth.

With a sweet post on Instagram, Kane announced the addition of the newest family member. He wrote, “New family member [red heart emoji] welcome to the family Kodi Jane, secrets finally out.”

Above the welcoming message was a carousel of two photos. The first slide showed the vocalist sitting with Katelyn on the hospital bed while she carried the newborn. The couple was all smiles for the camera.

On the other hand, the second slide was a black-and-white picture of Kodi Jane sleeping soundly and wearing an outfit with the words “Hello World I’m Kodi” written boldly.

It was indeed a joyous moment for the family, and fans congratulated Kane and Katelyn on their growing household. They also gushed about the baby, calling her beautiful and her father’s lookalike.

While Kane and Katelyn managed to keep their second daughter's birth a secret, they couldn't do the same for their first.

Per reports, the couple planned on keeping their first daughter’s birth a secret. However, Kane’s brother revealed the baby’s birth prior to the announcement of her arrival, which upset the country-pop songster.

Nevertheless, he and Katelyn were determined to keep things private with their youngest daughter and they were very successful with their plan as evident.

Becoming a renowned artist in the music industry did not happen overnight for Kane, as he put in the work to get to where he is now.

According to Parade, following the songwriter’s feature in 2013’s “X Factor,” producers wanted to place him in a boy band even though he wanted a solo career.

Luckily for him, he was able to follow his dreams as his consistent posts of some of his own songs and videos on social media paid off.
