'I Am Perfect The Way I Am'

The "Lose Me To Love Me" singer recently took to her TikTok stories to call out body shamers who felt the need to comment on her weight.

While speaking on her TikTok stories, she added that although she tried to stay skinny, she sometimes succumbs to the temptation to go all out by having "four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings, and a spicy chicken sandwich."

She admitted to not caring about her weight since people would complain anyway. "You're too small.' 'You're too big.' 'That doesn't fit.' 'Meh meh meh meh.'"

She then concluded by adding a message to her body shamers. "B--ch, I am perfect the way I am," she noted. "Moral of the story? Bye."

This Is Not The First Time Selena Gomez Has Been Body-Shamed

This is not the first time Gomez has voiced out about the body-shaming she had experienced.

The actress, who previously underwent kidney surgery due to direct complications of her Lupus, talked about how people still commented on her weight amidst her health struggles on "Giving Back Generation."

"I have lupus and deal with kidney issues and high blood pressure, so I deal with a lot of health issues," she said." And for me, that's when I really started noticing the body image stuff."

She then confessed that the cocktail of drugs she uses for her Lupus alters her weight. She claimed that she had to use the drugs for the rest of her life, and when she discovered that people were talking down on her weight, she realized it was "part of her reality now."

"That got to me big time," she said of the body-shaming. "That messed me up for a bit. But in reality, that's just my truth. I fluctuate. It depends on what's happening in my life."

However, the actress is happy to live in the present and not focus on what other people have to say about her life.

Her Was Body Shamed For 2015 Album Cover

The singer confessed that she was first criticized when she posed nude for her 2015 album cover, "Revival."

"This was the first year I ever dealt with anyone talking about my body," Gomez told Daily Mail. "I'd land at the airport and people would yell out, 'You're fat!' It was awful. I've been working in therapy. Even if I did gain weight, I'm fine. That's what the picture represents."

Gomez faced online criticisms after pictures from her Mexico vacation surfaced online. She was photographed flaunting her body in a pink bikini while lounging beside the pool.

"I love being happy with me, y'all #theresmoretolove," she captioned, adding a laughing emoji.

In a recent interview with "Good Morning America," the singer mentioned that she hasn't been on social media in four and a half years.

She added that going off social media did great good for her mental health, as she can now ignore trolls. "I don't care to expose myself to everyone and hear what they have to say about it," she said.

She also claimed that her unnecessary comparisons and self-hate disappeared immediately she went off the grid.  Although there were times when those emotions came back, she admitted to having "a much better relationship with herself."
