Monday, April 11 – Mattea Returns

On Monday, Mattea returned to defend her four-day total of $104,600 dollars against Michael, a marketing manager, and Vanessa McCombs, a college instructor.

The first round featured the categories: A EUROPEAN CAPITAL TOUR // PURPLE REIGN // IT'S A FACT // IN MOM'S FREE TIME // 2-WORD ANIMAL EXPRESSIONS // SYMPHON"E"'S

After the first round, Mattea had $7,000, Vanessa had $600, and Michael had $5,200 dollars.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories:US GEOGRAPHICAL HISTORY // THE ORIGIN TRAIL // CHEMICAL ELEMENTS // METAPHORS // LITERATURE // DOUBLE PRESIDENTIAL NAMERS

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Mattea had $10,200, Vanessa had $2,600, and Michael had $12,600 dollars.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "Words of the Year." The clue read: "Oxford's Word of the Year for 2021 was this 3-letter one, short for a word that goes back to the latin for 'cow.'"

Only Mattea provided a correct answer of "What is vax?" Mattea added $12,600 dollars to her score to create a five-day total of $117,200 dollars.

Tuesday, April 12 -  Mattea Returns

On Tuesday, Mattea returned to defend her five-day total of $117,200 dollars against Zhe, a software engineer, and Lean, a social studies teacher.

The first round featured the categories: ROCK ART // MEDICINE // GAME CHANGERS // FASHION / AMAZON PRIME // EVERYTHING FROM MOD TO MUD

At the end of the first round, Mattea had $9,600, Leah had -$200, and Zhe had $2,600 dollars.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: ROCK ART // NEW TO MERRIAM-WEBSTER // THE ACTOR'S MOVIE LINE // I HAVE A PLAN // HALLS OF FAME // AGATHA CHRISTIE'S "WHY DIDN'T THEY ASK EVANS?"

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Mattea had $25,400, Leah had $7,800, and Zhe had $5,800 dollars.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "Geographic Terms." The clue read: "The 1964 article that gave this term its current use noted the 'menace that haunts the Atlantic off our southeastern coast.'"

Mattea and Leah provided a correct answer of "What is the Bermuda Triangle?" Mattea added $5,400 dollars to create a six-day total of $148,000 dollars.

Wednesday, April 13 - Mattea Returns

On Wednesday, Mattea returned to defend her six-day total of $148,000 dollars against Adam, an airline planning analyst, and Rachel, a bookseller.

The first round featured the categories: A REIGN OF ERROR // HOUSEHOLD INITIALS // A NUMBER BETWEEN 2 & 115 // BOOK 'EM // AT THE MOVIES // ENDS IN DOUBLE LETTERS

At the end of the first round, Mattea had $7,200, Rachel had $4,000, and Adam had $2,000 dollars.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: AROUND THE USA // OH ME OF LITTLE FAITH // CATCH THE TV MUSICAL ACT // BAT QUIZ // WHAT THE LETTER SAYS // SINCERELY YOURS

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Mattea had $20,400, Rachel had $8,000, and Adam had $10,200 dollars.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "History." The clue read: "Intimately familiar with World War I, Churchill considered this war from some 150 years before the 'first world war.'"

Only Mattea provided a correct answer of "What is the Seven Years' War?" She only wagered a dollar and created a new seven-day total of $168,401 dollars.

Thursday, April 14 -  Mattea Returns

On Thursday, Mattea returned to defend her seven-day total of $168,401 dollars against Joe, a non-profit program and events director, and Kristen, a high school English teacher.

The first round featured the categories: ART, OF WAR // ON ITS FAST FOOD MENU // BIBLICAL TRANSLATIONS // MUSIC FROM THE NECK UP // WORDS FROM MYTHOLOGY // WHAT EVER

After the first round, Mattea had $10,200, Kristen had $1,400, and Joe had $2,400 dollars.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: CELEBRITIES' FIRSTS // GEOGRAPHIC VERSE // IT'S ALL ABOUT HER // ECONOMICS // GREAT NAMES OF SCIENCE // NUMBER WORDS

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Mattea had $19,400, Kristen had $3,000, and Joe had $2,400 dollars.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "Women In British History." The clue read: "The orphaned future Queen Elizabeth I was devoted to this stepmother who died 2 days before Elizabeth’s 15th birthday."

No one was able to come up with a correct answer of "Who was Catherine Parr?" Mattea lost $5,000 to win $14,400 for an eight-day total of $182,801 dollars.

Friday, April 15 - Mattea Returns

On Friday, Mattea returned to defend her eight-day total of $182,801 dollars against Allan, a fellow in pediatric critical care medicine, and Katie, a dietician.

The first round featured the categories: IN THE ZOOM ROOM // 19th CENTURY AMERICA // HANDLE WITH AIR // A COUNTRY OF LAWS // YOUR TV HOST WITH THE MOST // HOMOPHONIC PAIRS

At the end of the first round, Mattea had $4,600, Katie had $3,000, and Allan had $4,800.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: SAINTLY SPOTS // TRIOS // SCIENTIFIC CANADIAN // THESE SONGS REALLY MOVE // FEMALE LITERARY CHARACTERS // 5-LETTER WORDLES

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Mattea had $21,800, Katie had $14,000, and Allan had $10,000.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "Academy Award Winners." The clue read: "In 2019 he won his first competitive Oscar, 36 years after a Student Academy Award for a film about a Brooklyn barbershop."

Mattea and Allan provided a correct answer of "Who is Spike Lee?" Mattea added $6,201 to win $28,001 and create a nine-day total of $210,802.

But would she be able to keep her win streak going on Monday? Fans will just have to tune in to find out!
