The rumors seem to be true! "The Amazing Spiderman" icon Andrew Garfield and American model Alyssa Miller are believed to have broken up after a few months of being together.
Before their relationship in November 2021, Garfield dated co-star Emma Stone in 2011 and Rita-Ora in 2018, while Miller had a relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal in 2013 and married musician Cam Avery briefly in 2018.
Despite their alleged breakup, the "Sports Illustrated" model recently insinuated they were still together with an affectionate Instagram post that freaked the actor's friends out.
Andrew Garfield's Friends Say They Are "Weirded Out" By Alyssa Miller's Lovey Instagram Post
A source revealed to Page Six that the couple "ended their relationship amicably a number of weeks ago."
However, Miller's post suggested otherwise as she shared a picture of herself with Garfield on their way to the 2022 SAG Awards. She captioned, "If you must gossip, at least use a cute photo. Lol love you AG [butterfly emoji]."
Friends of the "Under The Banner of Heaven" actor were reported to be "weirded out" by the post, and one wondered why she made the post unclear if she wanted to clear the air.
The buddy stated, "From the outside looking in, it seems as though she was denying they split, but they definitely did. It's very confusing why she would do that."
Speculations of their split first came about the previous week when their busy schedules were reported to have made it "really hard to see each other" and led to their decision to be apart.
Another source revealed their separation via ET's report, saying the "Tick, Tick… Boom!" star was "staying positive and surrounding himself with his close friends and loved ones."
According to The Blast, Garfield and Miller made their debut as a couple at the glamorous Screen Actors' Guild Awards. However, they did not walk the red carpet together and were later noticed inside sporting matching black outfits.
The movie producer's appearance at the event came after a pretty tiring awards season due to his role as Jonathan Larson in "Tick, Tick… Boom!" which earned him an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe honor.
His hectic schedule also included his involvement in the much-loved "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and the series "Under the Banner of Heaven."
Sources believe Garfield and Miller will remain friends if they confirm their split, as the performer is still friends with Stone. He revealed their comfortable friendship in Josh Horowitz's "Happy Sad Confused" podcast.
Before releasing "Spider-Man: No Way Home," his former lover wanted to know if he would be starring in it, and he lied, saying he would not.
While laughing, the Golden Globe recipient recalled, "Emma kept on texting me, and she was like, 'Are you in this new Spider-Man film?' And I was like, 'I don't know what you're talking about.'"
He said in the podcast that it was pretty funny to lead the actress on until she called him a jerk after watching the film.
Stone is presently married to "Saturday Night Live" director Dave McCary and they welcomed their first child Louise Jean McCary last year.
Even though the "La La Land" star's relationship with Garfield did not work, they remain close and "have a lot of love" for each other. The former couple has had no drama between them, maintaining their good terms.
Details Of The Relationship Timeline Of The Tony Awards Honoree And The Vogue Cover Model
Garfield has always been a big believer in love both romantically and platonically. As PEOPLE shared following the rumors of his and Miller's split, he also believed in love at first sight.
The news outlet further detailed Garfield and Miller's relationship timeline while including their past affairs with renowned celebrities.
In 2014, the 32-year-old model broke up with Gyllenhaal after dating for nearly six months. She married Avery, the Tame Impala band member, four years later, but they separated in November of the same year.
Moving on to Garfield, he and Stone were together for four years after meeting on the set of "The Amazing Spiderman." Their relationship was beautiful but sadly ended in 2015.
Around the same time Miller got wedded, the 38-year-old dated Rita Ora, but they never confirmed or denied their status. The pair also never shared any details of their time together, but they were occasionally captured holding hands.
Garfield was first seen holding hands with Miller in N.Y.C as they exited a recording of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." They were captured hanging out together in the following months, hence sparking dating rumors.
