The last few years have not been easy for "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Erika Jayne.
After two years of nearly non-stop lawsuits and speculation surrounding her 2020 divorce from Tom Girardi after 20 years of marriage, The reality star and business woman is facing yet another round of targeted speculation within a lawsuit.
On Tuesday, Edelson PC, a law firm, filed a lawsuit seeking "no less than $55 million in damages" from Jayne.
According to People, Jayne's company is also being named in the lawsuit.
What Else Is Happening In The Lawsuit?
In addition to Jayne's company EJ Global LLC, the Girardi and Keese law firm and its lenders are being targeted.
Edelson PC alleges EJ Global LLC and company have been partaking in racketeering, which, according to Investopedia, is defined as "The act of acquiring a business for illegal activity, operating a business with illegally-derived income, or using a business to commit legal acts."
In addition to racketeering, the companies are being sued for "Conspiracy to commit racketeering, receipt of stolen property, money had and received, conversion, unlawful business practice, consumers legal remedies act and deceit."
The documents go on to detail "Girardi Keese was little more than a criminal enterprise, disguised as a law firm."
Edelson PC also mentions Jayne and her career as a reality TV star on 'RHOBH' in the documents.
The Girardi and Keese law firm was put on blast for "Siphoning off millions" for the couple's personal enjoyment, further stating those alleged millions were intended to "Fund Tom and Erika's all-consuming need to spend- a lifestyle so lavish that Erika was a cast member of 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
The documents do not slow down on the allegations against Jayne and her ex-husband.
"The couple certainly played up the part of flaunting their wealth and the fact that Tom was a powerful attorney who wooed celebrities, judges, and politicians alike..."
Edelson PC go on to state, "That money was not earned by the firm or by Tom, but was stolen: from co-counsel, from vendors with long-overdue bills, and- by far the most unforgivable for an attorney- from the firm's own injured clients."
Erika Jayne Targeted
Perhaps the biggest bombshell contained in the documents was a claim Jayne was "The 'frontwoman' of the operation, selling to the world (including unsuspecting clients) that Girardi Keese was successful."
Jayne "Uses her significant public platform to lie about her own involvement, and to try to assist Tom and the others in getting away with it," the documents continue as per People.
The documents claim her actions were intended to "...Leverage the scandal to further her career and stay relevant in the tabloids, meaning more exposure and a larger paycheck for her next season of performing on 'Housewives.'
Jayne and Girardi's actions were also called a "Scheme" by Edelson PC.
What Jayne Has Said About Her Experience
The latest lawsuit to land in Jayne's lap arrives months after she candidly spoke to Andy Cohen on the reunion episode of 'RHOBH.'
Jayne had said she felt "Happy" to address all of the speculation surrounding the lawsuits and her divorce from Girardi.
She added, as per Us Weekly, "I'm happy to say everything I can say. Please understand, there are some things I cannot answer. But I will do my best to give every part of the story that I can."
The ongoing drama within Jayne's life in 2020 following her divorce, was frequently featured in an ongoing storyline during season 11.
She is slated to return to Beverly Hills for its 12th season, and she is looking for a "bigger paycheck," as per Us Weekly, to accompany her return.
An "Insider" clamed Jayne's alleged paycheck would "Be much more next season."
