Post Malone is being sued by a lawyer who claims he represented his ex-girlfriend Ashlen Diaz, negotiating a settlement between them after their breakup.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Martorell Law in Los Angeles filed a civil lawsuit against Post Malone AND Ashlen Diaz claiming they were hired by Diaz after the breakup of the former couple. At the time, the law firm says they were hired to negotiate a settlement and payments from Malone to his ex-girlfriend following the end of their 3-year relationship was over.
At the time, the firm says they entered into a "contingency fee" agreement with Diaz to "represent her in a civil action" against Malone. In other words, the law firm would get a percentage of any money settled with Malone depending on how long it took to end the case.

Now, it should be noted, that no specific allegations are listed in this complaint, including why Ashlen would have any reason or allegation against Post Malone that would deserve a financial settlement of any kind. But, in the documents, the lawyer says they helped Ashlen with "researching alimony law...investigating facts of the claim, and reviewing substantial evidence and data."

In the filing, Martorell says they began rendering services to Ashlen in 2019 -- following the breakup -- and communicated with Post's lawyers over the case. At some point, they claim Post contacted his ex-girlfriend and "proposed, coerced and pressured her to discharge (the lawyers) so that he could settle (the case) alone, and gain the benefit of her not having the assistance of (her lawyers).
Ex-Girlfriend's Lawyers Are Suing For Being Cut Out Of The Deal
Shockingly, the suit claims Post Malone settled the case with his ex-girlfriend for $350,000!
Now, the lawyers are claiming they should get their cut of the settlement after being left out of the final deal.
According to reports, Post and his ex-girlfriend split in 2018 after three years together. At the time, it was said Diaz broke up with the rock star while he was busy recording an album in Utah. The duo started dating in 2015, and she supported his career in the early days. "Ashlen booked Post a show in Dallas before he was big and knew what she was getting herself into. Post loves Ashlen and cares about her but lives his life as though he’s a rock star. He’s still so young," one report stated.

Malone admitted he had a tough time juggling his newfound fame and personal life, telling The Breakfast Club, "It’s tough having a balance, between dedicating my life to music and dedicating time for Ashlen. It’s tough because you want to get into the studio, you want to do as good music as you can, sometimes you’re really busy."
As we said, it's unclear what would have prompted Ashlen to sue Post Malone for hundreds of thousands of dollars following their split, but the situation is far from over considering this new lawsuit.
The decision will now be up to a judge.
