Cardi defended herself, saying that she shared a post hours before the ceremony of her in New York with her kids making noise in the background. Explaining her decision to sit out this year's award, Cardi said, "Do I have any new music? Why would I show up with one nomination? And I lost it anyways, so you wanted me to go to the Grammys, lose and award, and me just be there smiling like, ‘That’s great, that’s great.’ Like, come on now my n---a. Come on now. I don’t like that s**t."

She concluded, noting she was used to people talking smack about her but when the heat comes from her own fans it "piss the f**k out of me."

A Previous Fight With The BardiGang

This isn't the first time Cardi has had a heated conversation with her fans that led to her threatening to deactivate her Twitter account. As The Blast reported, in early March, the "WAP" rapper got into it with the BardiGang over her decision not to share details about her son.

Since welcoming her son in September 2021, Cardi and her husband Offset have kept details of the infant a secret, including his name and what he looks like.

However, after much plea from fans, Cardi teased a photo of the toddler on Twitter, uploading an up-close image of her son’s eyes, showing off his lengthy and full eyelashes. Alongside the picture, she wrote, “That’s all y’all will get.”

However, many fans weren't pleased and came for the rapper. Some accused her of trying to steal the spotlight from another rapper who was trending on the platform while others didn't appreciate that she didn't upload a full picture.
