Matt Lanter’s Wife Angela Reveals Her Husband Suffered From Intestinal Blockage
On Monday, March 28, Angela shared a black-and-white picture of her husband in the hospital alongside a candid message about his health.
In the photo, Matt wore a hospital gown, nose mask, and Nike slides while seated on a chair. The “90210” star supported himself by holding the IV pole connected to his arm.
According to his wife, the beloved “Star Wars” voice actor’s health went downhill on Tuesday, March 22, when he experienced “intense abdominal pains” and needed to be hospitalized.
The social media influencer explained that it took two days to discover the root of her husband’s problems. The beauty blogger wrote:
“Thursday, he was diagnosed with a closed-loop intestinal obstruction (his small intestine twisted, causing a blockage) and was rushed into emergency surgery.”
Angela added that the “Disaster Movie” star experienced a few setbacks after his surgery; however, the Hollywood heartthrob felt better when the picture was taken. The mother-of-one concluded her caption:
“The drs and nurses have stressed the importance of getting up and walking, so we’re slowly getting him moving more and more. Hoping for more improvement tomorrow. Thankful for all your prayers.”
This heartwarming update received several positive responses from fans and celebrities, who flooded the post with over 50,000 likes and 1,000 comments.

On Sunday, March 27, these celebrities, friends, and fans of the couple were worried after the YouTuber shared a heartbreaking post about his condition.
The mother-of-one posted a black-and-white picture of the couple holding hands, but the 38-year-old entertainer sported an IV and medical bracelet on his wrist.
If this post wasn’t heart-wrenching, the Ohio native’s wife added a tear-jerking caption about the actor’s condition. The fashion blogger wrote:
“This week has been the scariest of my life. My hubby has been through the ringer since Tuesday and ended up in emergency surgery on Thursday.”
The media personality continued, “Thankfully, he’s started to turn the corner and is slowly getting on the road to recovery. Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support.”
The Nashville-based lifestyle blogger added that her husband would not be discharged soon as he had an “uphill battle” to win. The “Jupiter’s Legacy” star’s wife also implored fans to keep praying for them.
Although she didn’t elaborate about the entertainer’s surgery or his diagnosis, people immediately sent their well-wishes and supportive comments to the couple.
Into The “WarGames: The Dead Code” Star’s Career And Love Life
During a previous interview with Glamour for their “On a Date With…” series, the “Chasing The Rain” star opened up about his career and marriage to Angela.
Before joining Hollywood, Matt was the Atlanta Braves’ batboy for two seasons, a period he described as the time of his life.
However, his passion changed to acting after getting a job as an extra for the golf movie “Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius.”
Once he had a taste for the art, the aspiring actor moved to Los Angeles, and in six months, he made his official debut in the ABC pilot “Commander In Chief.”
Afterward, the Ohio native has starred in popular projects such as “90210,” “Heroes,” and “Star-Crossed.” He also voiced several animated characters for shows like Disney’s “Ultimate Spiderman” and “Star Wars.”
Matt confessed that he loved having a successful career, but it could not be compared to his relationship with Angela, who he met while visiting his mom in Ohio.
Because the actor worked in L.A, the pair had a long-distance relationship that eventually blossomed into a Star Wars-themed wedding.
According to the “Secret of the Wings” voice actor, the couple kept their romance alive through communication, fun date nights, and faith in God.
