Dolores Catania Shares Health Update After Teresa Giudice's Emergency Surgery

On March 23, 2022, Teresa Giudice got admitted to the hospital for an emergency procedure. Now, her co-housemate and BFF, Dolores Catania, has revealed the reason behind the procedure.

"She had her appendix out," Catania explained per E! News. "Now, it just takes time to heal. But it was emergency surgery so she's in a lot of pain."

She recently spoke with Giudice to see how she was fairing, and per their conversation, she wasn't feeling well.

"She's not feeling good at all. It's bad," she added. "She's in a tremendous amount of pain."

Gia Giudice shared a get well soon message through an Instagram post.

"Such a trooper. I love you," she wrote along with an image of a masked Giudice in a hospital bed. "Pray for a speedy recovery. I love you, @TeresaGiudice." Despite her condition, the reality star looked like her usual self as she was covered in a hospital blanket and a white wristband.

Giudice's ex-husband, Joe Giudice, also shared a picture of her on Instagram. "Please pray for Teresa as she's been admitted to the hospital," he captioned.

Although her fiancé Luis Ruelas hasn't commented on his fiancée's recovery, he was tagged by co-star Jennifer Aydin on her Instagram stories as he dropped goodies at her house over the weekend.

According to Page Six, the "Real Housewives Of New Jersey" star has been discharged from the hospital and has returned to her New Jersey home. This happened two days after hospitalization.

Although she didn't say anything about her health and admission on her social media accounts, she took to her Instagram Story to post a video shot in her home.

Giudice was enshrined underneath a blue blanket in the short video while she reclined on her family couch.

She first pointed the camera to her oldest kid, Gia, who donned a sweatpant and sweatshirt and sat on her left.

Then, she focused the camera on her second daughter Milania, who also laid down and used her mother's legs as a pillow. Right on cue, she looked up for an instant and flashed a bright smile at the camera.

Per a representative who spoke with the publication, it was a non-cosmetic surgery, and she was going to be discharged within 24hours, which was what eventually happened.

"She is in recovery, currently resting, and she thanks everyone for their prayers and well-wishes."

Giudice isn't a stranger to major surgeries. In 2020, the reality star announced on her Instagram that she'd be going for another breast augmentation since her last time ten years ago.

She shared a photo of herself in the clinic with her plastic surgeon and captioned her decision to go under the knife again.

"I believe it's important to always stand strong and feel like your best, most confident self. 10 Years after my first Breast Augmentation I decided to have my breasts re-done," she began, admitting that she "could not be happier with the results."

Giudice continued via People, "I was very nervous to re-do my breasts, but I felt it was necessary for me to feel like my best self. I encourage anyone who doesn't feel their best self to work on feeling better. Even if it is the smallest thing every day. If it is something that requires cosmetic surgery to feel better."

She also gushed about her fantastic plastic surgeon, whom she labeled "professional." "I highly recommend Dr. Preminger @premingermd, and could not be happier with the results. I felt like she understood me, and really made me feel comfortable. I am grateful to have had such a professional approach," she concluded.

The reality star's daughter, Gia Giudice, also opened up about going under the knife. This was after fans noticed a slight physical change in Gia's Instagram photos. She, however, responded to the speculations on her Instagram.

 "Yes, I got a nose job. Yes, I'm swollen. Thank you so much @drtobiasnyc I'm absolutely in love with it. I am an adult now, this has been an insecurity of mine for a while and I've never been happier and so comfortable in my own skin!!" 

In 2020, the 51-year-old reality star opened up to Page Six about getting a tummy tuck after months of feeling insecure about her tummy.

 "I had lost 25 pounds from dieting and still wasn't completely comfortable with my body," Catania began. "I found myself still wanting to cover up. Once I hit my goal weight and I knew that my stomach wouldn't be the way I wanted it to even if I worked out, I knew it was time."
