Will Smith Just Took A Swing At Chris Rock At The Oscars - Literally!

Oscar-nominated Will Smith may have some explaining to do if he takes the stage tonight. When Chris Rock made a "G.I. Jane" joke about his wife, the "King Richard" actor seemed to say "Keep my wife's name out of your f---ing mouth."

Amy Kaufman summed up what just happened for everyone who missed the exchange, explaining, "Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith being in 'G.I. Jane' because of her bald head. She's spoken openly about having a hair loss condition. Will Smith ran on stage, slapped Rock, then screamed twice at the top of his lungs 'KEEP MY WIFE'S NAME OUT OF YOUR F---ING MOUTH.'"

The audio was cut and fans were left wondering if it was a joke or if Will Smith was seriously angry. It seems that Will Smith was REALLY angry because he might have just took a literal swing at Chris Rock!

Fans who were watching at home from Australia got to see the full, unfiltered version of the exchange... including watching Will Smith walk up to the stage, where he appears to hit Chris Rock.

Fans were absolutely shocked to see that the event wasn't actually scripted, and seemed to be an actual reaction from the "Pursuit of Happiness" actor.

"Wtaf????? That wasn’t scripted????? 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳" Noah tweeted after the exchange. He was far from the only one to weigh in on the controversy.

The Chainsmokers tweeted, "Will smith just fully sent it and punched Chris rock in the face on the Oscar’s." He later followed it up with, "Lol holy s--- that was awkward. Gotta respect it. Will smith standing up for his wife and Chris rock taking it on the chin and finishing the presentation. That said it was a joke and Chris is a comedian but this def goes back to 2016."

This is not the first time that Rock has insulted Jada, but it probably will be the last after what just happened tonight!
