In a recent  PEOPLE interview with Seacrest and Ripa for their show "After Oscars special" airing on Monday, March 28, they spoke about being an excellent on-air team.

The "American Idol" co-host recounted their friendship, noting that they had been buddies before they started starring on air together, approximately for twenty years. He continued:

"When we look at each other and talk to each other, there's obviously a tremendous amount of trust and respect, but also we can read each other's mind. And I didn't know we could do that so well, but that's true every day."

Seacrest and his pen pal have been co-hosting their live show since 2017, and their excellent partnership led them to the "After Oscars Show" held annually in celebration of the biggest movies of the year.

Ripa also touched on the 2022 openers, including Lady Gaga's "House of Gucci" and Jessica Chastain's "The Eyes of Tammy Faye." She also broke down Tom Holland's and Andrew Garfield's "Spider-Man: No Way Home."

The "Kim Possible: A Stitch In Time" actress showed her and Seacrest's playful side when she made an amusing prediction that their special would end with his Oscar nomination for 2023.

Ripa also proves a competition to Seacrest, who admitted to having a lot of nerves when filming the annual segment due to her acting background. He said:

"Now, it's a lot to live up to working with Kelly Ripa, a professional actor who has been doing this for so many years on Live. So I feel a lot of pressure each year to come in prepared."

Maria Menounos will grace the special live episode as a guest host who will hold interviews with the stars on the red carpet.

Eva Chen and Carson Kressley will break down the unique fashion looks of the night. They will also have the first interviews with the winners of the ceremony.

Inside A Hilarious "Live With Kelly And Ryan" Episode

Due to their two decades of friendship, Ripa and Seacrest pull each other's legs like siblings, as seen during a funny morning episode of their show.

Last November, The Blast disclosed that the longtime wife of Mark Consuelos discovered that her co-host was hiding a long, pearl necklace beneath his shirt during their live show.

Ripa noticed the jewelry moments after Seacrest admitted that he missed the World Series because he was busy taking a mustard bath.

The therapeutic bath salt blend consisted of essential oils that put the former "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" producer to sleep throughout the memorable Atlanta Braves' victory.

Seacrest shared a selfie that he took before falling asleep in the tub, showing him smiling happily with mustard seeds floating around his bathwater.

The show's guest of the day, Paula Patton, also touched on the relaxing powers of the mustard concoction, noting that she falls asleep shortly after using it.

Seacrest began talking about how some athletes wear good luck charms during their games, especially the ones worn by Joc Pederson before his big games.

The "Shrek Forever After" actor noted that Pederson sported his pearl string during many postseason games, and they seemed to have brought him good luck.

The "Live From The Red Carpet" personality then claimed that he could never pull off wearing such an item due to his highly sensitive skin.

Yet, in a hilarious moment, Ripa caught him red-handed when she spotted something bulging from under his shirt. Eventually, a similar pearl popped out from its hiding place.

Throughout the rest of the segment, Ripa made a running joke of her friend by referencing mustard baths and pearl necklaces.
