Shanna Moakler Reveals Pregnancy Test Was False Positive

Former Miss USA Shanna Moakler's private life has been discussed severally in the media, including her past relationships and present drama.

The American model once dated rock star Billy Idol in 1997 and later got engaged to boxer Oscar De La Hoya in 1998, but they split in 2000. In 2004, she married Travis Barker, and he filed for divorce about four years later.

Moakler is currently a mother of three, one from Oscar and two from Travis. She was recently expecting a fourth child, but it turned out that the pregnancy test was false.

Moakler got a positive pregnancy test a few days after her now-and-then boyfriend Matthew Rondeau was arrested for a domestic misdemeanor.

As revealed by ET, she told People at the time, "I took a pregnancy test, and it is positive. This has been a very difficult week, but I'm taking everything day by day."

Unfortunately, the news outlet later confirmed the positive test was false but showed otherwise due to a hormone called HCG, which Moakler was taking to lose weight for "Big Brother." 

The TV personality explained to ET, "It is the same hormone that is produced when a woman is pregnant, resulting in the false positive. However, children in the future are not out of the question for me."

Luckily for her, she still has three kids to care for, including 22-year-old Atiana De La Hoya, 18-year-old Landon Asher Barker, and 16-year-old Alabama Luella Barker.

Travis co-parents Landon and Alabama with Moakler while being in a pretty tight relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. So, the 46-year old's children may appear on the upcoming reality series, "The Kardashians."

Following her eviction from "Celebrity Big Brother," the actress shed light on her relationship with the Kardashian-Jenner family and co-parenting with the Blink-182 drummer.

The Blast previously reported that she mentioned she would not be tuning in to see her kids on "The Kardashians," but she was okay if they wanted to be a part of the production.

She and her ex do not agree much, but they prioritize their kids' happiness. All that mattered to her was the Kardashians' being good to her babies and keeping them happy.

Moakler was rumored to have been jealous over Travis and Kourtney's engagement, and she addressed the speculations saying people thought she was obsessed over her former partner's relationship.

Such speculations arose probably due to her previous comments or what had happened in the press. However, she claimed to be uninterested and not bitter or jealous. 

Last year, Moakler and her kids, particularly Landon and Alabama, did not seem to be on the best of terms as she was not an active part of their life like their father is.

The media channel revealed that her son regarded her as an absentee mother while her second daughter accused her of not being an amazing mom like people painted her to be.

The 16-year-old later shared a TikTok video showing she and her mom were not on speaking terms. Moakler eventually confirmed the 'not-speaking with her kids' allegations saying there was still some distance at the time. She told PageSix:

"I'm just trying to give everybody some space so we can heal and come back together again. Right now, I'm really trying to let [my kids] all know that I'm here for them and I love them, and I'm their mom, and I'll always be in their lives."

It is no news that Moakler and Rondeau have had a pretty unstable relationship since 2020 but still publicly showed off their love for each other whenever they got the chance.

As shared by The Blast, one of those times was during a beach vacation in Cancun, where they had a pretty heated PDA session and could not get their hands off each other.

The "Meet the Barkers" icon rocked a sexy revealing black bikini that showed lots of underboob skin and flattered her toned stomach. On the other hand, her beau wore blue-and-red-colored beach shorts.

They reportedly looked terrific together and were making the most of their time following their reunion and after Travis' proposal to Kourtney.

Before getting back together, Rondeau told PEOPLE about their split saying things were pretty difficult with their personal lives, making it difficult to focus on their relationship.

They took everything daily while living their best life as a team. The fitness model was happy to have Moakler by his side as they both strived towards individual goals.
