On Twitter, actor Mark Hamill has been going by the handle @HamillHimself for a very long time now.
Someone else had managed to snap @MarkHamill before he did, which was frustrating, especially considering the other person did not use their account… at all. However, there has been a recent influx of people making fake pages and impersonating the real Mark Hamill, due to the confusion surrounding the usernames.
Fortunately, it looks like Twitter has decided to set matters straight and remind everyone that there is only one Mark Hamill that fans need to concern themselves with: the “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill.

After almost 10 years as @HamillHimself-@Twitter has finally allowed my account to use my own name. Welcome to @MarkHamill & I hope there's no confusion or nostalgia for the loss of alliteration or any questions about why I don't also use my middle name: Richard.

The prolific voice actor first joined Twitter in May 2011 and is just shy of having five million Twitter followers. His bio reads, “Believe in yourself! Work hard, never give up & anything's possible! OR: Kick back, relax & aim low: You'll never be disappointed... I IGNORE ALL DMs!”
On Saturday afternoon, Hamill took to Twitter to share the good news with his fans.
“After almost 10 years as @HamillHimself- @Twitter has finally allowed my account to use my own name,” he tweeted. “Welcome to @MarkHamill & I hope there's no confusion or nostalgia for the loss of alliteration or any questions about why I don't also use my middle name: Richard.”
Many fans took to the comments to share their support and love for the actor, although others couldn’t help but notice that there were still old fakes like @HamillHimself8 popping up, using Mark’s old profile picture.
