Kanye West Gets College Course Dedicated To Him: 'Kanye vs. Ye: Genius By Design'

Kanye West university is in session!

The “Yeenyuhs” creator is getting college-level course based solely on him and his mind.

A professor at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada has created a class centered around Kanye, who legally changed his name to ‘Ye’ last year.

Professor Yassin Narcy Alsalman, who goes by @narcynarce on Instagram, announced the exciting news on his person social media account.

Earlier this week he wrote, “I WILL BE TEACHING THE FIRST ALL @kanyewest CLASS ON A UNIVERSITY LEVEL, ALL PRAISES DUE. Listen, in 2013 I was given the opportunity and blessing to teach at @concordiauniversity . Over the course of years, i grew the class from 40 students to 200 a semester, moved us into an auditorium.”

Professor Narcy has taught courses on A Tribe Called Quest (ATCQ), Lauryn Hill and Black Star.

“It became a huge part of my life and a responsibility. Post Pandemic, Inshallah, I want to bring something new and fresh to students. An opportunity to bring more amazing guests to the University and to discuss the world through the lens of one of the most influential artists of our generation,” he continued. “This class isn’t only about Kanye. It’s about community , creativity, responsibility, accountability, fame and mental health, dreams and nightmares - and more importantly, self-actualization. Welcome To Graduation.”

The course will be offered through Concordia University’s Fine Arts program and will begin in Fall 2022.

Hypebeastmusic reposted the news and many fans expressed their ideas for a new class name and excitement.

One commented, “Perfect opportunity to call it Yesign.”

“Yeezology? I’m in,” another added, while this fan wrote, “Sign me up.”

However, on the other side of the aisle were a few worried skeptics.

“Probs the worst time to do this with Kanye,” someone commented.

Another added, “You mean psych101?”

Multiple others echoed the Psych 101 sentiment writing things like, “Case study in psychology,” and “I believe that is Psychology.”

Kanye has made waves in the entertainment industry and media since he broke onto the scene in the early 2000s.

But more recently, he’s made catastrophic waves for his children and ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, in the media.

The Blast has been on the pulse of everything Kanye since he began publicly dragging Kim, her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, and the Kardashian-Jenner family since late 2020.

Most recently, Kanye warned Pete to “stay away from my children.”

On Wednesday, March 16, the “Donda” rapper shared an article with the headline: “Pete Davidson Enrages Audience With Jokes About Having Sex With A Baby.”

The headline links to a Breitbart article that was written on January 28, 2019.

During a stand-up comedy routine at The Bell House in Brooklyn, New York, the “Saturday Night Live” comedian recalled a story about babysitting his friend’s child, who was teething at the time. He said that the baby was sucking his finger in a “good way.”

The Montreal Gazette reported that he said, “I don’t want to f— this baby but he’s asking for it” and allegedly later added that he’s “not into having sex with babies but if he was, he would choose that baby.”

Kanye also expressed his fear that Pete will get Kim hooked on drugs.

“I’m really concerned that SKETE will get my kids mom hooked on drugs he’s in rehab every 2 months,” he wrote responding to a fan.

Over the weekend, Pete slighted the rap star by telling him, in leaked text messages, he was “in bed with your wife.”
