Will Smith is making massive waves during this award season, taking home wins at the Critics Choice Awards, African American Film Critics Association Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and the Golden Globe Awards all for Best Actor for his portrayal of Richard Williams in King Richard. It's very common for an actor who sweeps during award season to end up winning an Oscar at the end, which is very likely in Smith's case.
Will Smith Reveals 'The Pursuit Of Happiness' Deserved An Oscar Nomination
Monday evening at the National Board Of Review ceremony, our correspondent Ty Cole covered the red carpet to chat with some of today's biggest stars and Oscars nominees. This year 221 films were viewed by a select group of film
enthusiasts, filmmakers, professionals, academics, and students, many of which were followed by in-depth discussions with directors, actors, producers, and screenwriters.

The ceremony celebrates the art of cinema, with categories that include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Actress, Best Original and Adapted Screenplay, Breakthrough Performance, and Directorial Debut, as well as their signature,
honors the Freedom of Expression Award and Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography. This year's festivities were hosted by Today anchor Craig Melvin.
The Screen Actors Guild recipient shared he wishes the Academy inserted The Pursuit Of Happiness as a contender for an Oscar for Best Movie as he feels it was his "best film" he's ever played in.
"I thought Pursuit Of Happiness was the best movie I ever made," said the actor. "The reaction that King Richard is getting is what I thought Pursuit of Happiness was going to receive. Something happened with this film that is very unique and I never experienced this blanket level of appreciation for a movie."
The famed actor was nominated for Best Actor for the film, however, with the award going to Forest Whitaker for The Last King Of Scotland
Will Smith Was 'Hesitant' About Bel-Air Reboot
Bel-Air has been gaining a massive following since it's debut last month on Peacock and Morgan Cooper should be very proud to see his YouTube fantasy come to life. While we are in a period of reboots, it's always nerve wrecking to touch classic sitcoms and remake them for a newer generation. Even the Fresh Prince alum himself was hesitant to move forward with the drama version.
"That was a difficult lift as it could've gone horrifically, terribly wrong but they smashed it," said the Bad Boy star. "The casting is perfect, Morgan's storytelling, and I love what they did with Geoffrey. There's some beautiful things happening there."
The Academy Awards are right around the corner and will be televised on March 27th on ABC Networks.
Do you think Will will walk away victorious? We'll just have to wait and see.
