Even Hollywood's top stars can't keep their composure when they're in the presence of their favorite superstars. Scarlett Johansson, Spencer Pratt, Sarah Paulson, and Olivia Munn all freaked out when they saw their respective idols and have been bold to admit those star-struck moments.
Although Samuel L. Jackson is a bigger star and a more revered veteran in Hollywood, he recently confessed that the same rules applied to him. While on the set of "Secret Invasion," the actor could barely keep calm when he met his castmate, Olivia Colman, for the first time.

Samuel L. Jackson Meets Olivia Colman
In a post shared on Twitter, Jackson can be heard disclosing his on-set experience with Colman while filming the "Secret Invasion" miniseries. The conversation which took place when Jackson had a sit down with Josh Horowitz on his eponymous show had a lot to say about the castmates of the show.
When Jackson and Colman met, the former was giddy with anticipation at the prospect of working with the other actor. While filming sequences together, Jackson was always amazed by her performance. Jackson recalled that Colman had a similar amiable attitude in response to his, which is understandable considering Jackson's equal international renown.
"It was so glorious and such a ball… she's so amazing and so effective in a scene," the Marvel star said, referencing his interaction with Colman.
"You know, it's those moments that when you're in the middle of doing it, and you feel it, and you watch it happen, that when they finally say cut, all you can do is look at the other person and go, oh my god, that was amazing, that was so great! And she's like, you're better than I thought! She was great."
Jackson Also Praised Emilia Clarke
Marvel's "Secret Invasion" also stars English actor Emilia Clarke. The 35-year-old is best known for her breakthrough role as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO epic fantasy television series "Game of Thrones."
While discussing his joyful on-set moments with Colman, Jackson also lauded Clarke's performance through the series production. "Emilia, amazing. It's like, c'mon man, you walk on the set and you go, "Okay, that's the Queen of Dragons." She's so tiny," he said. "She's like a fairy; you want to hold her!"
Although videos of Clarke's character in action have surfaced on the internet, it remains unknown what role she will perform in the series. Fans are also divided on whether Colman is a hero or a villain, but that comes with the mysterious narrative embedded in the "Secret Invasion" tag.
The Cast Of 'Secret Invasion'
As part of the Disney Investor Day presentation in December 2020, the "Secret Invasion" miniseries was unveiled among numerous other Marvel projects. The alien-inspired thriller, featuring Jackson as Nick Fury, was rumored to start filming in April 2021 and was affirmed by Jackson via an Instagram post.
In addition to Jackson, Colman, and Clarke, Marvel also signed on numerous additional celebrities. Some recognizable characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe return for Secret Invasion, including Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, and Martin Freeman as CIA spy Everett K. Ross, as revealed by Jackson in the above interview with Horowitz.

In line with Marvel's multiverse theory, "Secret Invasion" tells the Skrulls' narrative of invading Earth, putting everyone in danger of being replaced and replicated. Nick Fury and General Talos will have to work together to figure out the identities of the alien invaders and forestall any villainous plans they have for the planet.
Given Jackson's comments about his co-stars, it is safe to assume that their swell time on set would translate to an excellent display of their synergy of talents when the series eventually premieres later. Fans also expect to see some violent physical fights, which have become one of MCU's trademark elements throughout their past film releases.
