Patrick Mahomes Ties The Knot With High School Sweetheart Brittany Matthews

Texas-born Patrick Mahomes II is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was drafted into the National Football League in 2017 as the tenth overall position.

Patrick has made quite the name for himself and celebrated many wins, including his engagement with Brittany Matthews, his high school sweetheart, in 2020.

The couple has been together for nearly ten years since their days in Whitehouse Texas High School, and they finally tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony.

In a series of Instagram photos, the celebrity couple jointly shared the details of their lovely wedding ceremony. 

The groom could be seen rocking a grey tux with a matching grey tie and black patterned dress shoes, while the bride had a stunning white wedding dress on with a long flowing veil.

The ceremony appeared to have taken place on a beach with palm trees scattered around. There were also tons of white flowers adorning the venue.

The newlyweds were all smiles while posing together in all the photos, and one included a trio capture with their baby daughter, who Matthews carried. They captioned the post, “Mr. & Mrs. Mahomes.”

Well-wishers took to the comments to congratulate and celebrate the couple’s special day. They cheered their union and expressed happiness for Patrick and Matthews.

Among the supporters were the groom’s brother Jackson Mahomes and fellow athletes, including Erik Ezukanma, Jack Anderson, Norense Odiase, and Maurice Ffrench.

Prior to the wedding, The Kansas City Star detailed the preparations involved, including the when [date], the where [location], and the who [invited guests]. 

The wedding was scheduled to be during a weekend, as one of the bride’s friends revealed in an Instagram story with a photo of Matthews. The friend wrote, "It's wedding weekend."

The venue appeared to be somewhere in Hawaii based on social media snaps showing guests of the wedding and friends arriving there. 

At the time, Patrick’s teammate Tyran Mathieu shared a photo on Twitter from Hawaii. However, there was no guarantee that the ceremony would take place there.

Moving on, the groom’s best man was his brother Jackson as the public figure shared an Instagram post showing the two together and wrote, "best man vibes."

The guests predicted to be present in addition to Mathieu and Jackson were Orlando Bloom, Travis Kelce, and longtime girlfriend Kayla Nicole, Kliff Kingsbury, and his girlfriend, among others.

Brown is Chiefs offensive lineman, Kelce is Chiefs tight end, and Kingsbury is Arizona Cardinals coach. He also coached Patrick when he played at Texas Tech. 

Last December, The Blast reported that Patrick gifted his then 10-months old daughter Sterling Skye a remote-controlled Lamborghini for their first Christmas together.

Not only was the blue-eyed cutie given the luxury toy car, but her parents also showered her with several other lavish gifts to celebrate the festive period.

Patrick and Matthews detailed their holiday to “The Drive on 610 Sports Radio,” which was a pretty exciting period for them enjoying the festivities with Sterling.

With the number of luxury gifts the doting parents gifted their baby, the 26-year-old dad jokingly mentioned that he could get in trouble as she grew and eventually had a thing for extravagant gifts.

He also named his partner as the culprit for the idea. However, fortunately for him, he does not have to worry presently as Sterling is still basking in the unawareness of being a baby.

Not only did the star athlete spend time with his family during the holiday, but he also had a home game to play.

He said, “We had a home game that Saturday. We had that morning to be with the kids and do all the gifts and everything. Sterling, I don’t think she understood what Christmas was yet, but she understood she got a lot of toys.”  

Following the Christmas celebration, Patrick and Matthews looked forward to spending the New Year with Sterling, and they planned to celebrate New Year’s Eve at home due to the pandemic.

Since the celebs became parents, they never failed to cherish every moment they got with their daughter. Last March, Patrick celebrated Sterling’s one-month milestone with an adorable father-and-daughter photoshoot.

On the other hand, Matthews shared a snap of the celebrant’s birthday cake and gift basket on her Instagram story. 

She also spent the day with Sterling, cheering on the talented sportsman in a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Salt River Fields Stadium, Arizona.
