The video, which Dave Meyers directed, explores a fantastical concept. It also has a vagina dentata vibe as Megan and Dua Lipa are seen luring men to their forest treehouse. The two men lured into the castle find a way to escape and gather other men to capture Megan and Lipa. The pair are tied to a stake to be burnt, but they escape eventually.
“Ooh, this the ride of your life / Hold on ’cause, baby, I might / I might just give you a bite of the sweetest pie,” Lipa sings in the chorus. Megan’s lines skip over the sexual overtones and get straight to it. “I want that nasty, that freaky stuff / Live under my bed and keep me up / That Hansel and Gretel, let him eat me up,” she raps.
The visual effects in the video are bonkers, including Megan’s eyeballs giving you the middle finger, a spider crawling underneath Lipa’s skin, Megan floating above a bed made from a giant cobra, and Lipa slicing her face with a cake.
The fantastic and horror concept can be credited to Megan, a known fan of things spooky and dark.
Megan Thee Stallion Reached To Dua Lipa For The Collaboration
In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Megan admitted to reaching out to Dua after hearing their songs’ remixes for a team-up.
“I be seeing everybody making mashups of me and Dua songs and I’m like, ‘No, this sounds too good. We have to make a song,'” she recalled. “So when I hit her up about it, I was like, ‘Dua, I really want us to do a song, but I got to find that right beat. It has to be perfect.’ So I didn’t just send her no any track. I waited till I had the perfect one and I feel like we both came to a mutual agreement that it was greatness. And now we got ‘Sweetest Pie.'”
She also mentioned that she loved the experience of working with Lipa, adding, “It was just super easy the whole time, and I really liked that about her. Because she could be a diva, but she is just so humble. We are all divas in our own right. But what I’m saying is she was just very sweet. She was very kind. And I feel like right now, everybody is not like that. So shout out to a kind person in the industry because you don’t meet a lot of them.”
Megan Appeared On Lipa’s Podcast
In addition to the music video, Megan featured on Lipa’s new podcast, “At Your Service.” On her appearance, they discussed being female performers in a male-dominated Industry.
“It is a crazy double standard,” Megan said of the expectations set for women during live performances. “Sometimes I just have to take it as, ‘Everyone knows that we are superior, so they expect us to arrive as the superior beings that we are.’ We get critiqued so heavily because everyone knows women are the sh*t, so everyone is looking for us to be the sh*t all the time.”

The 25-year-old Shenseea, who has made her mark in the Jamaican dance hall scene, is ready to be heard worldwide with her new single, “Lick,” featuring Megan.
It’s Shenseea’s first track off her debut album, “Alpha,” released on March 11.
“‘Alpha’ means strength and leader to me,” Shenseea mentioned to Nylon. “That’s how I think of myself, as an alpha. I’m always in charge, I’m always looking out for my family, my crew. Not dependent on anybody, which is what my whole movement is about. Telling women to be independent and to lead. That’s my whole personality. I don’t need a man to do whatever.”
