Ashton Kutcher and wife Mila Kunis are closer to their goal.
The actress, 38, who was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, is raising funds with her actor husband. The couple started the fundraiser on March 4 and aimed to collect $30 million to help the refugees, of which $3 million was from their own pockets.
They recently gave an update on the fundraiser as they have reached more than halfway to their goal in less than a week.
Closer To Their Goal
Kutcher, 44, took to his Instagram account to share an update to their fans. The pair revealed that they have collected $20 million so far, which means they only need $10 million more to complete their desired donation goal.
In the video, the “Two and a Half Men” star said, “We want to give you a little update on our campaign ‘To Stand With Ukraine.’ We have raised over $20 million in less than a week. And I say we because it’s all of us together.”
He continued, “Some people didn’t have the means to give, and they’ve done an unbelievable job of getting the word out and sharing it. But we’re not done. Our goals are 30, and we’re going to get there.”
Thanking People Who Helped Out

Kunis chimed in, saying, “But we just want to say thank you to the 56,000 of you who were able to donate and have supported us. Whether it was $5 or $10, the $1,000 — whatever it was — means so much to us because it does bring in a community and a sense of belonging and an ability to help.”
Kutcher added, “Let’s keep pushing. Let’s keep spreading the word. And we, together to hit our goal of 30. The first humanitarian aid is already on the ground. Flexsports already delivering planes that are delivering communitarian aid to these NGOs. And Airbnb is already taking in refugees.”
He also noted that “there has been over a million children. This is just children that are in refugee status right now. And so every bit that we can do helps, and we appreciate you.”
Kutcher wrote in the caption of the share: “Thank you to everyone that got us to $20m in less than a week. We can do this. We can hit our goal. Together. Because we stand together with Ukraine. #standwithukraine.”

The Russian-Ukraine war is currently the major global tension. Over two million Ukrainians have fled their homeland to stay safe and are currently seeking shelter in neighboring countries. Just like Kutcher and Kunis, a number of celebrities are helping out by fundraising and donating.
Just like Gigi Hadid, who had vowed to give her earnings from her Fall 2022 fashion shows to the people who suffered from the war in Ukraine and Palestine.
“I am pledging to donate my earnings from the Fall 2022 shows to aid those suffering from the war in Ukraine, as well as continuing to support those experiencing the same in Palestine,” the model wrote in an Instagram post. “Our eyes and hearts must be open to all human injustice. May we all see each other as brothers and sisters, beyond politics, beyond race, beyond religion. At the the end of the day, innocent lives pay for war- not leaders. HANDS OFF UKRAINE. HANDS OFF PALESTINE. PEACE. PEACE. PEACE. 🕊”
