Kim Kardashian is a definite HBIC (head b***h in charge), and her plethora of businesses and massive bank account proves it.
On Wednesday, March 9, Variety published their latest cover story on the Kardashians and their new TV ventures at Hulu.
The famous family left the E! network in 2020 after 20 seasons of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” and soon after announced they’d be filming content for Hulu.

It was pretty obvious why the Kar-Jenner women made the leap from their loyal E! family to Hulu… MONEY!
Kris Jenner even backed up what was on everyone’s mind in the Variety interview saying, “Money always matters. I think that anybody would be foolish to say that money doesn’t matter anymore.”
During the Variety interview, fans were able to hear from Kris, Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian about the new show aptly titled, “The Kardashians,” and how this show will differ from ‘KUWTK.
Kim explained that the episodes on E! were short, the producers knew what the E! audience wanted, whereas Hulu feels a little more “documentary style coming from a different angle of where we’re at in our lives now.”

She added that “The Kardashians” will showcase different sides of each woman that includes their daily errands, personal education and business ventures.
Kim believes she has the best advice for women in business.
“I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f***ing a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days,” she said. “You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do, because you have one life. No toxic work environments and show up and do the work.”

While many fans, myself included, applauded Kim for her poignant message, others who had a previous work relationship with her and her famous family did not.
Former Employees Sound Off On Kim's 'Work' Comments
One former employee named Jessica DeFino posted on Twitter, “I was an editor on the Kardashian apps in 2015 in LA, worked days nights & weekends, could only afford groceries from the 99 Cents Only Store, called out “sick” more than once bc I couldn’t put gas in my car to get to the office, & was reprimanded for freelancing on the side ❤️."

So much for “no toxic work environment.”
DeFino continued to explain her work experience with the Kardashians.
“The wildest thing about that job: I saw firsthand how the most famous women in the world Frankensteined an impossible standard of beauty, pushed the rest of us to “keep up” with them, weaponized that standard of beauty to sell products, and *still* never felt good enough,” she explained.

A former employee of the Kardashians exclusively told The Blast that they were allegedly forced to work in the garage in the dead heat of summer.
The source claims they were not allowed indoors in any of the Kardashian’s homes while working.
Our source also alleged seeing production workers and assistants having to wear foot coverings when entering any of the Kardashians homes.
Comedian David Cross didn’t work for the Kardashian-Jenner family, but had a few thoughts about Kim’s “best advice” message.
Cross is most notably known for his role as Tobias Fünke on “Arrested Development.”
In response to Variety’s article and Kim’s advice, Cross tweeted, “No, I have the best advice, be born into a rich family, get a s**t ton of plastic surgery, film and then release an orchestrated sex tape, parlay that planned notoriety into a "reality" show exploiting younger sisters and...viola! Easy peasy.”

Many people responded to Cross’ tweet in agreement and some in disagreement.
“She worked hard? Seriously? LOL. Her whole career has been being from a rich Brentwood celeb family,” one replied.
Another wrote, “Also: being born rich really helps.”
Others poked fun at Kim and ex-boyfriend Ray J’s sex tape.
“Let’s be honest. She was not “working” very hard in her sex tape,” one person commented, while another followed up, “I mean, let’s be honest. Was she even awake during that sex tape?”
As previously mentioned, there were a few people who disagreed with Cross’ criticism of Kim.
“She definitely worked hard to be as successful as she is but agreed we all start with different base levels & she should acknowledge that's helped her greatly - even if u never touch ur family’s money just knowing u'll never be starving or homeless is underrated,” one response read.
