Although she has since moved on with “Saturday Night Live” alum Pete Davidson, Ye has been making all sorts of threats at Pete, who he’s dubbed “Skete” through a series of music videos.
Kim Kardashian Is Getting Concerned About Kanye West’s New Music Videos
In the first video for “Eazy” that the “Donda” rapper uploaded to Instagram, a Claymation version of Ye can be seen kidnapping, burying, and decapitating, a caricature of Pete Davidson. The new animated music video that dropped on Wednesday was a bit more graphic.
PETA has already protested to the skinned monkey graphic that Kanye posted on Instagram back in January, but this time he parades the skinned monkeys throughout the video as his henchman. When he raps the line, “God saved me from that crash so I could beat Pete Davidson’s a–,” one of the skinned monkeys beats up a character wearing a red sweatshirt that says Skete in white lettering across the front of the hoodie.
The skinned primate then knocks Pete to the ground and begins pummeling his face into the ground with both fists.
Kim Kardashian Feels That Kanye West’s ‘Eazy’ Music Videos Are ‘Too Violent’
When Kanye was belittling Pete on Instagram last month, Kim stepped in to ask him to stop. Kanye then shared that text message with his Instagram followers, although he later admitted that “Sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing.”
One inside source told PEOPLE that the music videos are “a big reason why Kim is so upset and why she texted Kanye in the first place. It’s not fair to Pete or her what he’s been doing.”
Another source alleged that the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star is “furious” about his video. “She thinks it’s way too violent and is upset,” the insider revealed. “She’s really upset with Kanye that he’d do this. She’s completely over all of this and she wants it to stop.”
Kim is also concerned about how this will affect their four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
“Kim’s number one concern right now is making sure that her children are protected from the situation because everything plays out in the public eye and that’s very difficult when there are children involved,” the source added. “She is very angry about the violence and she just feels that it’s inappropriate and wrong.”
What Does Pete Davidson Think Of The Kanye West Music Videos About Him?
The source told PEOPLE that “Pete is being as calm and cool as possible, but it’s not a comfortable thing. This is not his scene. He’s a very cool and chill guy.”
Although Pete is trying to be chill, one friend of the “SNL” comedian who watched the video told Page Six that “This is, for real, really scary.”
Before Wednesday’s video of the skinned monkey animated attack went viral online, Pete had called the Claymation video “hilarious.”
At the time, a source for Entertainment Tonight revealed that Davidson “finds the fact that Kanye included a cartoon version of him in his music video hysterical.” The source added, “He is almost flattered by it all because it is so ridiculous to him.”
The source added that Pete “is not threatened by Kanye in any way, shape, or form.”
Pete Davidson Is Just Focusing On His Relationship With Kim Kardashian
Instead of being bullied by Kanye, the source revealed that Pete is just trying to take the time to make his relationship with Kim grow stronger, especially considering that she is now legally declared single.
“He’s using this to grow in more ways than one, including for himself and his relationship with Kim,” the source continued. “He is turning all of the negativity into a positive thing.”
“Pete is so understanding and has made an extreme effort to put any of his emotions aside and just be a support system for Kim during this difficult time and transition,” the source continued. “Pete has grown so much as an adult, man, public figure, and partner through this process, even though he has unexpectedly been thrown in the middle of things, including Kanye’s rants and the publicity that followed.”
